The villa is situated in a quiet residential area in an elevated position providing wonderful uninterrupted views to the sea. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard with marble floors throughout. The villa benefits from its own small private pool plus the use of a larger communal swimming pool situated a short walk away. This pool is shared with a small number of similar villas. The villa is approx 5 minutes drive from the centre of Calahonda and has fast, easy access to the many local Spanish beaches from Fuengirola to Marbella. Calahonda is approximately a 30 minute drive from Malaga airport.

For large parties it may be possible to arrange rental of a similar property in the same community, subject to availability.

Living Rooms: Well furnished modern open plan lounge/dining area with satellite TV (UK terrestrial, Freeview and news channels), DVD and video player, open log fire and large fully glazed patio doors opening onto terrace.
Cleaning/towels/

Clean bed linen and house towels are supplied. For rental periods of 2 weeks or longer a weekly cleaning service can also included if required. Beach and pool towels are not supplied.

Outside
There is a dining terrace with stunning views over the valley down to the Mediterranean Sea. There is a built-in BBQ, full outside dining facilities and an awning providing shade as desired.

On an upper level is a large and private sun terrace area. Well maintained front and private rear gardens with private pool and outside shower area.

Rooftop sun terrace ideal for private sunbathing. Off-street parking.

Coast/Beach
Calahonda itself has fine, safe, sandy beaches with many other local beaches all along the cost from Fuengirola to Marbella a very short drive away. The beaches, restaurants and shops of La Cala Village and Cabopino Port are both 5 minutes drive along the coast. Marbella and Puerto Banus are also within easy reach being a short drive away.

Golf
There are numerous top quality golf courses on the Costa del Sol from Malaga to Gibralter with a 9-hole course in Calahonda and many others within a short distance. The nearest are Cabopino, Miraflores, La Cala and Mijas courses. Sunshine Golf in La Cala offers a booking service for all courses. Contact them on Tel 0034 952 494 161. Skiing
If you are staying in winter, you are about a 2-2½ hours drive from the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada.

Special interest holidays
There are many tennis clubs along the coast. In Calahonda itself you will find the Club del Sol approx 5-10 minutes from the Villa with tennis, squash, paddle courts and gymnasium on a pay and play basis. No membership required. There is also a bowls club situated approximately a 10 minute drive away in Miraflores.

Travel
Malaga Airport is approx 30 minutes drive away with many UK flight operators on a daily basis. There are many local and international car-hire companies based at the airport, details of which can be supplied if required.

Distances
Inland are the beautiful white Andalucian villages and towns of Mijas, Ojen, Istan, Benhavis, Alhaurin, Coin and Monda amongst others. Gibraltar and the old Moorish cites of Ronda, Seville, Granada and Cadiz are further away but can be reached by car on the fast, new motorways.

Further details
There are 3 or 4 restaurants and a mini-market within easy walking distance. Calahonda has many good bars and restaurants in the centre and dotted around the community, plus good local shopping options. There are also too many restaurants to list just a short drive away along the coast in both directions. Marbella Hospital is situated about a fifteen minute drive away. Thre are various water parks situated within easy access and Fuengirola Zoo and Selwoo Wildlife Park are situated within a reasonable distance and provide a good family day out.

Booking notes
A 20% deposit is required when booking with the balance payable 2 calendar months prior to the commencement of your holiday. At the same time an additional £150 deposit will be required to cover breakages. This deposit is refundable on return of the keys for the villa.
