Villa ‘El Olivo’ is set on the urbanization of Moli D’ Lom a short drive from the beach resorts of Peniscola and Vinaros. Drive inland for 15 minutes and you are in the mountains with stunning views, overlooking a magnificent dammed lake/reservoir, with facilities such as restaurants, fishing, boat hire, an abundance of walks and cycling for the fittest. The Urbanisation Moli de L'om and the local village of El Castell are situated on the Costa del Azahar ‘The Orange Blossom Coast’ only 2 hours drive from Barcelona and 1.5 hours from Valencia. The villa boasts well maintained gardens to the front and side, with a very large terraced area at the rear surrounding the 8x4m swimming pool. A large stone built barbecue is situated on the corner of the terrace, over looking the river bed, making an ideal setting for alfresco dining. The river flows several times a year when water is released from the dam. A very friendly bar, crazy golf and restaurant are within 2 mins walk.

The changeover day in high season (June to August) is Saturday but it is flexible outside these months. The villa will be available from 4pm and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
'El Olivo' is furnished and equipped to an exceptionally high standard to meet all your needs. It is the perfect haven for that 'get away' holiday to relax and unwind. The living room and bedrooms rooms are air-conditioned, heated and double glazed. The fully fitted kitchen has modern appliances. For your entertainment there is a television with satellite channels (BBC, ITV, Sky News, Etc) PS2, DVD, CD player and WiFi. The key keeping/maid service is taken care of by an English lady. Guests can also contact her if there are any problems.

The villa is on one level, apart from the roof terrace, with a single step upto the front door, but is not adapted for wheelchair users.

Coast/Beach
Peniscola is a small coastal resort with superb beaches and is the most attractive spot on this coast. It is roughly a 25 minute drive from the Villa using the AP7 motorway. The old town is perched on a rocky promontory topped with an old castle. It is a typical post-card scene of narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed houses, with an abundance of bars and restaurants. Vineros with its blue flag beaches, and harbour is closer, 20 mins drive from Villa, with restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
Golf
The Panoramica Golf Course is 10 mins drive from the villa. Designed by Bernhard Langer and opened in 1995, is a quality 72 par course with outstanding practice facilities. It is a challenging course with 6 water hazards and is routed through a gently rolling landscape of olive & orange trees with a backdrop of the surrounding hills and mountains. Such is the reputation of Panoramica it was chosen to host the 2005 Ladies PGA Tour Spanish Open. The splendid clubhouse includes a golf shop, bar, restaurant and changing facilities. Hire of all golf equipment is available including motorised golf buggies.

The Villa is a 30 minute drive from the magnificent River Ebro, the site of some of the best fishing and biggest freshwater fish in Europe. The river Ebro is Spain’s longest river rising approximately 50 miles from the Atlantic to the south of Santander in the Cantabrian mountains, flowing into the Ebro Delta where some of the largest Catfish in the world are caught - upto 200lb. How to get there
The villa is easily accessible from 3 airports served by low-cost airlines. The closest airport is Reus, which is only 80km approx. 1 hour’s drive away and serviced by Ryanair. Valencia Airport is 150km approx. 1.5 hours drive from the villa - serviced by Easyjet, Ryanair, Transavia and Iberia airlines. Barcelona is 200km approx. 2 hours drive - serviced by Easyjet, Transavia, KLM and Iberia. Car Hire is essential and all the major car hire companies operate from within the arrival areas.
Distances
The beautiful cities of Barcelona and Valencia are a 2 hour and 1.5 hour drives, respectively, along the AP7. Reus airport is a 1 hour drive along the AP7, please note the AP7 is a Toll road and the cost is about 1 euro per 10km. Port Aventura, the Great Universal Studios Theme and Water Park, is widely considered to be the best and biggest in Europe. The park is 50 mins drive from the villa and can be easily reached by car or train.
Further details
The region of Catalonia is famous for its wines, cava and olives. There are lots of market towns, monasteries, lakes, national parks, mountains and typical Spanish villages which remain untouched by tourism.
L'Ametla de Mar is a working fishing village and boasts plenty of restaurants, many specialising in seafood and fish.
Miravet is a picturesque village on the banks of the ebro, reached by traditional ferry, it has a Templar Castle dating back to 1153 and little quaint streets to sit and soak up the atmosphere.
The Ebro River - A Fishermans paradise. Boat trips, riverside restaurants, flat bicycle trails, canoeing, horseback riding, and waterways tours are abundant.
Numerous fiestas (in Peniscola during, January, February, May, June, and September) are held year round close by, or further away, provide colorful fun. Weekly open markets are held on Mondays and Wednesdays in Peniscola and nearby Benicarlo.
Morella 65km / 40 miles to the west)is a walled city with 2500m 7,750 foot perimeter with 14 watch towers and several gates, excellent scenic driving, and makes for a good day out in the interior.
Supermarkets (supermercados) are plentiful. Food prices are very reasonable. Fruits, vegetables and variety of bread and seafood are excellent and fresh. Large department stores (hipermercados) are vast and sell everything under one roof.
Carrefour is close by on the N-340. Its prices are inexpensive, and sells household furnishing, electronics, hardware, clothing, groceries, bakery, and it houses hairdresser, shoes, eyeglasses, cafeteria, toys, and has an ATM machine for money withdrawals.

A 20% deposit is required to reserve your requested dates. The balance and 150 Euro refundable security deposit becomes payable 6 weeks prior to arrival, the security deposit will be returned after checking the villa. The villa and pool were wonderful, so clean and well equipped , it really was home from home.Rosy and Bob were fantastic, helped us out loads with local info. we had a fab time exploring the local area, especially loved Morella , Vinaros and the Dam.Managed to get the boys to Nou Camp stadium, it was amazing , we drove into Barcelona and parked free in the stadium, which was so easy !!All in all, it was such an enjoyable holiday,
