Casa Cura was purchased from the Diocese of Valencia two years ago having been in the past a home for nuns, monks and finally a retreat for priests. It is surrounded by almond, apricot, orange, persimmon and olive groves and has 5000 sq.metres of its own grounds, I have tried to convey from the photos the 365 degree view it has of the distant hills, villages and fruit groves. It is just outside the village of El Palomar, which has a beautiful pool with jacuzzi, kid's pool, bar and restaurant open from around 12 June - 13 September see photo. "But what about the electricity" I hear you asking...well, lights can be switched on, mobile phones, DS, & laptops can all be re-charged by the generator, while summer evenings are spent dining on the terrace by candlelight listening to the crickets and taking in the spectacular views...Casa Cura, along with our village house in El Palomar would be ideal for 2 families or sets of friends wishing to holiday together being 5 minutes apart by car.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday to vacate by 11am and arrive after 3pm however this can be flexible depending on bookings.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with 6' bed.
Bedroom 2 with 4 single beds.
Lounge has double sofabed.
Bathrooms: Bathroom with half bath and shower. WC. Pedestal basin. Outside WC.
Kitchen: Gas cooker. Gas fridge/freezer. Larder. Store room.
Living Rooms: Lounge/dining room has double sofabed and 2 chairs, dining table and 6 chairs, coffee table, chest of drawers and dresser containing dinner service etc. Radio/CD player (powered by re-chargeable batteries).
Other: Outside kitchen with barbecue, sink and worktop.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All linen and towels are included and changed weekly. Please bring own pool and beach towels.

Notes on accommodation
Electricity (when required) is supplied by generator housed away from the main house.
Constant hot water is provided by a gas heater.
There are several gas fires.
There is a large open fireplace for burning logs.
There is an outside shower (cold only).
The house is all on one level and suitable for children of all ages.
We will be resident in the neighbouring village and be on hand to show you the ropes on arrival and should you require any advice or help during your stay.

Accessibility
The house and large front terrace are on one level and suitable for wheelchair users as well as the grounds. There are double entrance doors to bedroom 2.
The entrance to the bathroom is small, and would not accommodate a wheelchair unfortunately.

Outside
Large front patio with table and 6 chairs but would accommodate more.

Coast/Beach
30 minutes by car to the blue flag beaches of Gandia and Piles.

Travel
One hour by car to Valencia and Alicante airports.

Further details
The neighbouring villages of Adzaneta, Belgida and El Palomar all have bakers, butchers, doctors, chemist, bars, restaurants plus free Internet access in library.
In Albaida less than 10 minutes by car there is a larger selection plus 3 supermarkets tourist office, Tuesday market, food hall, Internet cafe, health centre and railway station (keeps hens!)
In Ontiniente, 15 mins in the opposite direction there are the usual amenities but being a larger town it has the obligatory McDonalds.
