120 year old cave house, comfortably furnished, providing all mod cons and with a rooftop pool. Situated high up on the outskirts of the historic market town of Baza, the town centre with its plethora of bars, shops and bazaars is only a 10 mins walk. The Wednesday market is 10 mins walk along the old disused train track. Horse riding is available locally, as are go carts and a short drive will take you to beautiful lake Negratin with its natural thermal spa and the many natural parks. The village of Freila, on the banks of Negratin, provides a multitude of outdoor activities. For culture and excitement visit Granada, for the beach, Mojacar and for a taste of real spain, the nearby pretty whitewashed villages of Andalucia. Don't leave out the stunning cave hotel of Al Jatib, 5 minutes away.

Accessibility
The property is not suitable for the disabled or those with mobility problems. Neither is it suitable for the elderly, unless they are happy to take into account the hilltop location.
Outside
There is a small vine covered courtyard outside the cave house with a table and chairs. Also, a small patio above the cave house and a large rooftop terrace with spectacular views, seating and sunbathing facilities and the swimming pool which is not heated.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Mojacar which is approximately 90 minutes drive but is well worth a day trip. The beach is long and shallow, there is horse riding available and the whitewashed village is well worth a visit.
Travel
The nearest airport is Granada, 45 minutes by motorway. It is serviced by Ryanair, flying from and to London Stansted. Easyjet fly Gatwick to Almeria and the onward drive is about 90 minutes, although all motorway. Malaga, Alicante and Murcia are also within reach, but the drive is over 2 hours.
Distances
Granada is approx 45 minutes away.
Freila, on the banks of Lake Negratin is approx 10-15 minutes as is the thermal spa.
Zujar is approx 10 minutes.
Al Jatib, cave hotel is 5 minutes.
Mojacar is a 90 minute drive.
Further details
Local shops, bars, banks and supermarkets are all within walking distance, but a good 10/15 minutes.
We are fairly new to our properties, but guests so far have all commented favourably and at our request have been able to advise us on little extras that we could attend to. In the main, they have commented on the quirkiness of a cave house and the peace and quiet. Some guests even had to set an alarm clock in order to wake up before lunch.
