Notes on accommodation
Perfect for couples or families. Lemon Tree is situated in the historical residential area of San Juan, offering tranquillity and privacy, yet is so close to the town centre. San Juan has the advantage of readily accessible local amenities, wonderful views of the Torcal mountains and inspiring country or town walks on the doorstep. San Juan is the patron saint of Antequera and the magnificent church (30 seconds walk) thus an important one for the town. The castle overlooks the house and the entrance is a 4 minute stroll away. Here too is the awesome Santa Maria church with a superb restaurant in the plaza in front for al fresco or indoor dining with views of the famous Peña mountain and the towns Roman ruins. Uniquely designed for comfort, space, and privacy, Lemon Tree is ideally situated to offer the best of Antequera, for a short holiday or long stay.
Accessibility
Antequera itself is easily accessed from Malaga or Granada airport being 35 minutes and 50 minutes drive from each respectively. Alternatively you can travel by bus or taxi. Collection from the airport maybe available at a discounted rate over taxis subject to availability. Wheelchair access is possible for ground floor level. Contact owner for more details.
Outside
The pretty private courtyard has a feature lemon tree at the centre, with flowers and potted plants. The private plunge pool is 3x2x1meters square, and ideal for all ages. There is a raised dining patio next to the plunge pool and furniture provided for dining around the courtyard (in or out of the sun, as desired). Sunbeds provided.
Coast/Beach
The beaches of the Costa del Sol are reachable in a 40 minute drive starting with Malaga and Torremolinos. There are beautiful lakes within a 40 minute drive, offering bathing, fishing, pedalos, and stunning scenery. Ventas offer dining, or take a picnic and relax under the shade of pine trees.
Golf
Antequera Golf Course is a 10 minute drive away. Lovely club house and restaurant in beautiful surroundings. All the renowned golf courses of the Costa del Sol are available for a day trip out.
Travel
Malaga airport is 40 minutes drive by car. Coach service, train, or taxis are available. Granada airport is 50 minutes drive away. Coach, train and taxis available. A car is not necessary for exploring Antequera town, as the house is situated for walking to all areas within Antequera, with all it´s facilities.

Please establish by email, text or phone your preferred dates. A 25% deposit is payable to secure your booking. We will confirm the booking by email. The balance is payable 6 weeks beforehand, plus a refundable breakage deposit of 100€ against damage to the property and its contents.

Never having travelled to Spain before, it was not a trip not without trepidation... We picked Lemon Tree Apartment simply becuase it looked wonderful on the website. We knew nothing whatsoever about Antequera and therefore knew we were taking a risk! We need not have worried though. The owners made us very welcome with lots of local information about where to eat, drink and walk. Even though we hired a car, it stayed parked up for the entire week as we walked just about everywhere since the old town was stunning.
Lemon Tree Apartment was a wonderul old building with lots of rustic charm, carefully restored and a lovely plunge pool to cool us down during the very hot, dry days. Its very large kitchen made cooking our simple lunches even more enjoyable, and to eat outside was a rare treat being from very cold England!
The question is, would we go back? ... in a heartbeat!
