About the owner
Chris has lived in Spain for 6 years and in a former life was an antique dealer for 20 years before opening a bistro in Cheshire. Before leaving England, she renovated a semi-derelict farm on the Cheshire/Derbyshire borders, and owned two gift shops, also selling flowers and plants. Gardening is a favourite leisure activity, struggling with rock-hard stony soil to grow tomatoes, courgettes, mange-tout peas, salads and herbs. Chris loves cooking for guests, often using home grown ingredients, making fresh bread daily, and the house produces an awesome Limoncello liqueur, from lemons grown in the garden. Growing exotic plants is a passion, and the many terraces have examples of all manner of unusual flowers and plants.
We love meeting new people from all walks of life.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
The area is outstandingly beautiful and tranquil, with sensational views, plus a sea view. Although set in the mountains, we are only 10 minutes from 2 supermarkets and plenty of nightlife. There are many species of unusual birds, including bee-eaters, hoopoes, wheatears. Red-legged partridge nest at the bottom of the garden and a nightjar sings at night. You can see Cortijo Grande golf course and Rancho Cabrera riding stables from the terrace. The stables have excellent reviews from our guests.
Unique benefits of the property
Guests can enjoy a peaceful, get away-from-it-all holiday, doing very little, or disappear down to the beach or do village exploring during the day. A stay here is light years away from a hotel or traditional bed and breakfast holiday. Our prime concern is to look after our guests and give them the holiday that they want.
