Accessibility
Sorry, the property is not wheelchair friendly as the bedrooms are on the first floor. All the external tiles are non-slip safety tiles, however, small children should be supervised on terraces and stairs.
Outside
Courtyard with banana tree and jasmin to ground floor with sun loungers. Stairs to terrace with bar (including fridge) with table and chairs for outside dining. Second private terrace to double bedroom with small table and reclining sun chairs. Wall mounted clothes airer.
Coast/Beach
Oliva's Blue Flag beaches are a 10 minute drive from the town centre or 30-40 minutes walk through the orange groves. There is a regular bus service from the Paseo.
The white sandy beaches stretch from the port of Gandia to the port of Denia and you can see the fish swimming in the clear blue sea. In high season the are beach bars and restaurants along with watersports by the marina. Because of building restrictions, the beaches are never overcrowded.
Golf
A 10 minute drive to the South of Oliva is the Oliva Nova Resort and Golf complex designed by Seve Ballesteros.
Travel
Valencia airport (75km) and Alicante airport (100km) are approx. 70 minutes by car. There is a train service to Gandia from Valencia itself. There is also a bus (coach) from Valencia to Oliva. Oliva is linked to France via the A7 motorway.
Car hire is recommended to explore the surrounding mountains, countryside and towns although not essential as there is plenty to see and do in Oliva.
Distances
Gandia 10 mins, Valencia 70 mins, Javea and Benidorm 45 mins, Denia 20 mins with ferries to Ibiza and Formentera.
Further details
In the town centre there are 2 swimming pools (outside high season only), Friday market on the Paseo, numerous shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and chinese bazaars. There is a children's playground on the Paseo. All year there are various fiestas (any excuse) and cultural events.
Just outside of Oliva is a safari park 1 side and the other is a huge restaurant which puts on flamenco dancing and other typical Spanish shows.
