A warm welcoming villa nestled against the mountain overlooking the Ebro River with stunning views all round. The villa is a renovated Masia (farm house) which has been divided into 2 separate units. The villa has been tastefully decorated to make a wonderful home-from-home. Outside there is a large patio and BBQ area with stunning views over the river and the valley, you can also explore the 5 ha farm as well as the surrounding fincas. With so much to do in the area and beaches, hiking trails, fishing, canoeing etc it is an ideal holiday retreat.

Changeover day
As from Mid-June to early Mid-Sept we would prefer to keep the changeover day on Wednesday but we can be flexible to suit flights - please enquire. At all other times arrival day is flexible. Arrival time from 16:00 and departure time by 10:30.

A car is recommended as it is 3km from the village.

Coast/Beach
Take a pleasant 35 minute drive down to some of the most picturesque beaches on the Golden Coast of the Costa Dorada, there are pretty fishing ports or busy resorts such as L'Ampolla and Sant Carles de la Rapita, beautiful quiet coves and long golden sandy beaches. The Ebro Delta Natural Park is a 35 min drive where you will discover deserted sand dunes, lagoons, rice paddies and over 300 species of birds. For the young at heart, the adventure theme park of Port Aventura is only 50 mins away.
Special interest holidays
Fishing – We are situated only 3 minutes drive to the River Ebro in the lovely village of Benifallet, the Ebro is renowned for its trophy size carp and massive catfish and guided fishing tours and tackle hire are available and can be arranged for you.
Coves Mervalles – These caves are situated just outside Benifallet and are a must to visit, they have very unusual structures which are only found in these caves.
This is a hikers paradise with trails through all the hills and the mountainous Natural Parks of Els Ports and Cardo. The “Greenway” (Via Verde) is the old railway line which was closed down in Franco's time and now converted into a cycle, walking & horse trail with stunning views of the area. A wonderful cycle track even for beginners. There are also a number of local trails which make a good days cycle.
Birdwatchers paradise on the Rio Ebro Delta.
Travel
The nearest airport is Reus - a 55 minute drive. Ryanair have a number of flights from all over UK into Reus.
Barcelona Airport (El Prat) - 2 hour 10 mins drive. All the major airlines fly into El Prat as well as some of the European low cost airlines.

We recommend car hire as, even though there is public transport between most villages, the property is 3 km from the village and there is so much more to be seen in the surrounding area.

Being just outside the village, our masia really does have the best of both worlds – the convenience of nearby bars, 5 top quality restaurants and shops, the River Ebro on the doorstep, spectacular mountains rising to the East and West, and unspoilt beaches only a 35-minute drive away. The Ebro itself is a premier fishing location famous for it's huge catfish and carp. The mountains are rich in wildlife and bird life and have miles of trails for walking, cycling or horse riding. If you want to explore the regions history and culture we are centrally situated with good road and rail connections to discover the cities of Tarragona, Reus and Tortosa which all have interesting historic quarters as well as fashionable shops, cafes, and restaurants. In addition there are picturesque villages, castles and monasteries which against the stunning landscape provide plenty of subject matter for the artist or photographer. Benifallet also has a lovely public swimming pool with neat lawned areas and a bar. It is open all day from late June until September and is a few minutes drive from the property.
Booking notes
A 50% deposit is required at time of booking. The balance to be paid at least 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. A key & breakage deposit of 100 euros is payable on arrival or beforehand which will be returned once the cottage has been checked and keys returned.
