The villa is situated on arguably the most prestigious golf complex in Spain. La Manga Club boasts no less than three Championship courses, over 20 tennis courts and a number of first class football pitches used by international teams throughout the year. There are restaurants for all tastes and live entertainment every night of the week in the hotel and in various bars on La Manga club. Other activities include pony trekking, mountain biking, pitch and putt, driving range and a childrens club for the younger ones. Off site there are local fishing villages, miles of sandy beaches on the Mar Menor, water sports for all ages and local markets to visit. The historic city of Murcia is less that an hours drive and the naval town of Cartegena with its bustling Port and castle only 20 minutes away.

Changeover day
Saturday is normally regarded as changeover day however consideration will be giving to an alternative day if it can be arranged for everyone's benefit.

Bedroom 3 has twin beds fitted wardrobes and patio doors to rear terrace.
Bathrooms: Master bedroom en-suite has bath with overhead shower, a separate shower, toilet and twin hand basins
Main bathroom has bath, separate shower, toilet and twin hand basins
There is a third toilet with hand basin on level between living area and bedrooms
Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, separate drinks fridge, washer/dryer, all cooking equipment and utensils etc.
Living Rooms: Lounge/dining area includes 2 large sofas one of which converts to a double bed. large glass coffee table, TV, DVD/Video player, CD player and a selection of novels and games.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Fresh linen, bath towels and separate pool towels are provided at the beginning of each week. Villa is cleaned prior to entry and each week thereafter. Linen and towels are changed every week. Extra maid service to this is available at an additional cost.

 

Notes on accommodation
The villa at Las Palmitas is fully equipped with air conditioning and heating units. Energy costs are included in the rental charge. The villa is spacious and comfortable.

Accessibility
The villa is accessed by a fairly steep stairway. Could be difficult for guests with mobility problems. There is unfortunately no easy wheelchair access.

Outside
Outside there are three sun terraces including a private area on the roof. The front terrace looks directly onto the luxury heated outdoor swimming pool which is ideal for looking after the children in the pool. There is a toddlers pool at the side of the main pool which is very safe for babies and young children.

Coast/Beach
On La Manga Club there is a unique private beach solely for the use of those staying on the club and only a few minutes drive from the villa. The beach is on the Mediterranean side and the crystal clear waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Sunbeds are available on this beach and there is a beautiful beach bar and restaurant that opens at lunchtime and then in the evenings for some of the best seafood dishes in La Manga. Offsite there are other beaches well worth exploring.

Golf
La Manga Club has no fewer than three spectacular championship courses, all three quite different and equally challenging. Buggies and single golf scooters are available and guests staying at Las Palmitas pay residents rates as opposed to visitor rates and for seven months of the year the villa has sporting rights which entitles guests to pay owners rate. The courses on La Manga Club are only a few minutes drive from the villa and all courses have restaurants and bars serving light meals or tapas. There are other courses in the surrounding areas should you want to experience different courses, however La Manga Club is by far the best golf facility in the area.

Travel
Nearest airport is Murcia which is only 20 minutes drive away. This is a rapidly expanding airport with the list of major airlines flying into here growing steadily. The alternative airport is Alicante which is about 1 hour and 10 minutes drive from La Manga. The motorway down is new and the surrounding countryside makes for a very pleasant journey.

Distances
Places of interest are many and varied. People visit La Manga each year and still discover new places to see. The Mar Menor which is only a short drive away is the largest seawater lagoon in Europe. The strip of La Manga which runs the length of the Mar Menor is approx 20 kilometers long and as narrow as only 100 metres in places. There are beaches on both sides of this strip of land and mineral rich waters are known for their health giving properties.

Further details
Many visitors feel there is no need to leave La Manga Club but those that do go off exploring will find the area has many interesting walks both inland and along the coastline. There are historical places to visit both locally and in the town of Cartegena. The city of Murcia boasts modern shopping and centuries old architecture with countless pavement bars and restaurants in the many old squares.
For those who choose to simply stay on the club there are many leisure activities to be found. Apart from the golf there are over twenty first class tennis courts, a fantastic spa in the new leisure club in the hotel and as the pool at Las Palmitas is strictly for the use of owners and guests there is always space to relax within a few metres of the villa.
There are plenty of restaurants on La Manga Club, probably in the region of 20 or so and offsite there are some of the best fish restaurants can be found around the marina in the small fishing village of Cabo de Palos. This little village also boasts the biggest market for miles around which is held every Sunday from 10am to 2pm. This is a visit well worth making. There are two good supermarkets on La Manga Club and several much bigger ones withing a few miles should you choose to stay in and cook. The villa has a gas barbecue on the front terrace and some of the best nights are to be had simply eating at home!

Booking notes
Bookings are accepted by email or by telephone and will be confirmed when a deposit of 10% has been paid. The balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to the holiday commencing. Money transfers can be arranged but normally a cheque is the most common way of making payment.

Guest comments
None of our guests at Las Palmitas have ever had a poor holiday and there are some who have returned for five visits. We would welcome any feedback from visitors to enable us to improve where possible
