Notes on prices
The villa can be booked for a minimum of 2 nights.
Nightly rates from 186 euros (low season) to 231 euros (high season). Prices listed are for the entire property per night and per week in Euros. Minimum reservation of 2 nights, except for July, August and September: 1 week. By booking 1 week you are getting 1 night off. Special discounts on bookings of more than 5 nights and 3 night bookings during week days in low season. 30% deposit payment necessary for booking, Paypal or bank transfer.
Changeover day
Flexible changeover day, Saturday preferred day for July, August and September bookings. In busier months, arrival time is usually after 4pm and departure time before 11am, but flexible depending on previous and next guests arrival or departure.

Notes on accommodation
We welcome adult guests looking for privacy, quietness of a natural environment, close to the Natural Park of La Garrotxa, medieval villages in Girona and Costa Brava beaches. We speak English, French and some German. The absence of protection fence around the swimming pool, the quality of interior furnishings, no bathtub in the bathroom (but spacious shower enclosure) make this accommodation better suited for adult guests or parents with grown-up children who may value and respect the interior furnishings.
Accessibility
Easy access for people with mobility problems. The living area is organised in just on one floor at the garden level, which makes your stay a very easy and comfortable. Roof terrace is also at the same level as the living area and leads directly to the garden.
Outside
Property of 5000 square metre garden and forest grounds. 6,7 long x 3,80 wide x 1,5m deep outdoor private swimming pool. Swimming season from April to mid October. Terrace overlooking the valley with outdoor wooden table and chairs. 4 very comfortable sunbeds and large umbrella for your enjoyment and extra garden table and chairs for enjoying a sunny breakfast or refreshing drinks! Barbecue to cook your own preferred meals! Forest grounds perfectly kept to walk, hammocks to daydream, enjoy siestas, read in the shaded areas under trees, bird watch and enjoy silence. Free wood for fireplace in autumn and winter.

50 min drive to many beautiful Costa Brava beaches and medieval villages: Pals, Sant Feliu de Guixols, Roses, Blanes, Begur, l'Escala, Calella, Empuries (with remnants of Roman and Greek ancient city). 50 min drive to Figueres & painter Salvador Dali Museum. 1 hour 30 mins to picturesque coastal village Cadaques, home of famous painter Dali.

We also offer the option to buy a basket of fresh vegetables and eggs from small local farmers. Delicious! Submitted Aug.26 If you are looking for a place that is easy to find, close to the beautiful cities of Girona, Barcelona and the Pyrenees but yet set in rural surroundings for a tranquil rest away from it all then you have found the right place. The house owners have that "just right" ability to not intrude on your holiday but at the same time make you feel most welcome and offer help if you need it. The house is in perfect order and the website pictures do not do justice to the copper guttering and stone bathroom sink amongst all the other first class parts of the building. The pool was again better than the photos, made in beautiful smooth finishing’s and just right to swim, play and or relax in/beside. The view is uninterrupted green mountains, rolling into every distance you look. Sat on the porch, sitting room comfy chairs and or standing in the well equipped kitchen, you can also take in the views and relax back to full strength, paint.

About the owner
My husband and I live close to our villa La Pedra Remensa. We found this beautiful well preserved valley very close to Girona and decided to move here from Barcelona several years ago. We built La Pedra Remensa paying so much attention to detail and comfort to cater our clients comfort and relaxation. We love hiking and love to provide clients with detailed information on special places and activities to enjoy during their stay. Besides our rental villa, I also work as an antique furniture restorer and I am studying a second BA in Art History at the University of Girona.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We built our property in 2006. It is such a special natural location that we designed a home that would be very welcoming and would offer many opportunities to enjoy privacy and nature: its own private pool, a great terrace with outstanding views, a pleasant garden to enjoy nature in complete privacy. We just love the area for its well preserved environment, small rural villages, great forests for hiking, excellent gastronomy, art and culture is everywhere around us. It is just 25' away from Girona city and 50' to Costa Brava beaches, Roses and Figueres (Museum Salvador Dalí). Two natural parks are just in 30' drive. There are many reasonable restaurants very close or Michelin awarded restaurants. You can choose to relax and stay away from crowds or drive to more popular attractions.

You will not see another house from the villa; even though we live close to assist you in anything you need but to respect your complete peaceful privacy. Its location provides amusement options both in the countryside (Natural parks in La Garrotxa) or the Costa Brava beaches and Aiguamolls Natural Park (wetlands) while enjoying a privileged quiet environment. We offer all the information you need about the area, places to visit and enjoyment opportunities during your stay. We can also deliver homemade dinners made from local ingredients so you discover our gastronomy, or you can see how we cook our specialties.
