Villa Nigel is a fabulous modern villa offering a luxurious holiday setting. The large private swimming pool is set in pretty Mediterranean gardens, with a barbecue and choice of shaded or unshaded patio areas. Designed with care by the owner, to provide light and space throughout. The large lounge has floor to ceiling windows and leads onto the open plan kitchen which is well equipped with everything you will need for an enjoyable holiday. All the rooms are spacious and the master bedroom is huge! The master bedroom has a lounge area, leading out to the large private terrace, the window shutters have electric operation from the bed, to allow you to relax with the sun streaming into your room. The en-suite bathroom boasts a large jacuzzi bath. The villa is well decorated and furnished to provide a feeling of luxury throughout. Ideal location for a relaxing holiday, yet is within easy reach of a supermarket and a couple of tapas bars and a family restaurant.

Changeover day
The changeover day is Saturday, this can be flexible outside of May to September.

Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to the master bedroom, sunken bath, sin, toilet and bidet.
Downstairs shower room, with modern shower cubicle, sink and toilet.
Kitchen: Modern fitted kitchen, with oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, and dishwasher. Fully equipped with utensils, crockery and glasses.
Utility Room: The small utility room houses the washing machine and cleaning materials.
Living Rooms: The large open plan lounge and dining area, easily seats up to 8 people. The television offers English television channels, incl all BBC and ITV channels. There is also a DVD player and stereo.
Other: We provide a full in resort support service, including full directions to Las Tres Calas where you will be met on arrival and guided to the villa. You will be shown around the villa, provided with an information pack and emergency contact numbers.
Cleaning/towels/

An end of stay cleaning service is included in the rental price. Bedlinen and bath towels are provided (we ask that you bring your own towels for use at the pool and beach).

 

Notes on accommodation
The villa is air-conditioned. There are 3 bedrooms, comprising a master bedroom suite upstairs with a double bed, a lounge area (with bed-settee) and a luxury en-suite bathroom with sunken bath. There is a double bedroom, and a twin bedroom downstairs, with a shower room. There is a large well equipped fully fitted American style kitchen, leading to the lounge and dining area. There is a small utility room with a washing machine.

Accessibility
There are steps leading up to the villa and covered dining terrace. The living area, kitchen, shower room and 2 of the bedrooms are all located on the ground floor.

Outside
The villa is set in pretty Mediterranean gardens with a covered dining terrace accessed directly from the lounge, or an open dining terrace next to the built-in barbecue. Outdoor dining furniture and sun loungers are provided.

Coast/Beach
The villa is located in a quiet area yet is within easy reach of a small supermarket, a couple of tapas bars and a family restaurant with children's play area (20 min walk or 2 mins in the car).
Las Tres Calas itself has three lovely blue flag sandy beaches and there are many more secluded beaches along the immediate coastline including on the coastal road between Las Tres Calas and L’Ametlla de Mar.

Travel
The villa is easily accessible from Reus airport only 35mins drive and Barcelona Airport only 90 mins drive. Reus international airport is served by Ryan Air all year round, offering daily flights from Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, Luton and Stansted (also operating in the summer, First Choice, Thomsons, Thomas Cook etc). Barcelona Airport is served by a variety of low cost airlines flying daily from the UK and Ireland (incl Easyjet, BMI Baby etc). Recommend car hire an essential.

Distances
The traditional and quaint fishing village of L’Ametlla de Mar is located just 5 mins away, whether you fancy a wander around the shops, a relaxing drink on the harbour watching the catch of the day being reeled in, or a more lively evening in one of the many bars, L’Ametlla won’t disappoint! There is an indoor market held everyday selling fresh produce and a twice weekly outdoor market offering great bargains.

This area of the Costa Dorada has a great deal to offer, here are a few examples and then it's up to you decide how much or how little you want to do!
The popular resorts of Salou and Cambrils are within 20/30 minutes (by car or regular train service form L'Ametlla). Salou is also the home of to one of the largest adventure theme parks in Europe, the Universal Studios Port Aventura, for children of all ages! The historic cities of Reus and Tarragona are all within easy reach, they are bustling vibrant places, ideal for a spot of shopping, sampling the traditional tapas restaurants, or gazing at the architecture. Tarragona also has an impressive Roman amphitheatre. And then not forgetting the magnificent city of Barcelona, the influence of Gaudi has made Barcelona one of the most impressive cities in the world. The most relaxing way of getting to Barcelona is to take the train from L’Ametlla to Barcelona Saints (return ticket approx. 14 euros). The best way to see the city is on the open top tourist bus, we recommend you take the blue and red route bus touristic, this offers the most comprehensive tour of the city. You can get on and off the buses as often as you like to experience the sights and attractions (day pass approx 18 euros, reduced fares for children).
For a more relaxing day out, the Ebro Delta nature reserve is within a 25 minute drive and is truly stunning, it is world renowned for the rare species of wildlife and birds. The beaches are incredible, the sand dunes were used as the setting in the film 'Sahara' starring Penelope Cruz. There are also lots of routes to take up into the picturesque mountains, where you will find lots of pretty mountain villages and views to take your breath away.

Booking notes
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due to secure your booking. The balance payment is due in cash on arrival. (Payment aterms are flexible). There will be a security deposit of 300 euros payable in cash on arrival (in either local currency or pounds sterling). This deposit will be refunded in full at the end of the holiday subject to the villa and its contents being returned to the property owner in the same condition.
