Casa Albera is an impressive new villa located in a prominent elevated position on the prestigious development of Can Isaac, just 5 minutes from the village of Palau Saverdera, near the historic town of Roses. Nestled in the foothills of the 'Cap de Creus' National Park. The property enjoys far reaching views towards the Bay of Roses to the South and the Pyrenees to the West. Our beautiful villa has been fitted out to a very high standard and has Contemporary Solid Oak Furniture throughout. All bedrooms have air-conditioning and French Windows which open onto the Pool Terrace. Free WiFi broadband access is available for your convenience. UK Sky TV is connected in the lounge. Outside is the 8m x 4m Solar heated pool, set in the centre of the plot with far reaching views of the Pyrenees. Gardens surround the villa on all sides. Changeover day
Changeover day is on a Saturday. Departures by 10am please.
Arrivals from 4pm. A welcome pack is provided for your first evening. A fantastic local restuarant called 'Nou Fusion' is just five minutes walk from the villa, (map provided).

Outside
Casa Albera enjoys an elevated position on the upper road of the prestigious, long established private development of Can Isaac, Palau Saverdera. There are many places to relax from the heat of the midday sun, including under the shade of a protected cork tree in the front garden. The remains of a Neolithic settlement have recently been discovered just 150 metres from our villa.
Coast/Beach
The area around Cap de Creus has some of the most scenic coastlines in Spain. All water sports are catered for especially scuba diving, windsurfing, and more recently kite surfing. Many beaches are just 10-20 minutes by car from 'Casa Albera' small coves can also be explored by boat or by driving the scenic coast road to the French Border, stopping at places like Cadaqueas or Port de la Selva on the way for a sumptuous seafood lunch.
Golf
As a golfing destination, the Costa Brava is second to none. In the year 2000 it was voted the World's best emerging area for the sport. Peralada Golf Club, a PGA qualifying course, is only 20 minutes away by car. There are five other major courses within an hour of the villa, including the PGA de Catalunya course, voted one of the top ten courses in Europe by Golf World magazine in 2001.
Skiing
The main ski season is from December until April. Ski resorts accessible from 'Casa Albera are: Setcasas; Valter 2000 2 hours drive. La Molina-Masella, approx 2 hrs (much larger resort). Font Romeo, in France 2 1/4 hrs. Andorra 4 hours.
Travel
Airports: Barcelona-1 hour 40 min (Britsh Airways). Girona 35 min (Ryan Air). Perpignan 40 min (Ryan Air). A car is essential.
Distances
Palau Saverdera 5-8 min walk or 3 min drive. Service Station 2 mins by car. Supermarket 4 mins by car. Driving: Roses 8-10 min. Figueres 20 min. Barcelona 90 min. Andorra 2 hours plus. Empuries 30 mins. Train Barcelona 1 hour and 20 mins.

Pyrenees Weather Overview: The Pyrenees is an excellent all year-round destination so when you visit depends on what you would like to do. The walking season in the Pyrenees starts in mid June and ends in late September. This is good time for cycling, horse riding and more extreme sport like rafting, hang gliding or parachuting. The Parc Natural de L'Albera was granted protected status in 1986, creating safe havens for indigenous flora and fauna and helping to preserve an unspoilt environment of sheer escarpments and hidden villages.
Perfect walking country, or for roaming by car, the region is home to secluded monastic ruins, Neolithic dolmens and a stunning variety of wildlife, including tortoises, a protected species of Albera cow, golden eagles and wild boar. Just 5 minutes by car from ‘Casa Albera’ is the world famous restaurant of ‘El Bulli’ recently voted the best restaurant in the world. Situated in Roses,it is open only from April to September. During the other six months, the chefs are holed up in their laboratory in Barcelona!
