Accessibility
The property is accessible by a short flight of steps, access to the town can be either by the steps or by walking by road, which takes approx 5 minutes. The bedrooms and bathrooms. are distributed on two floors.
Outside
The house has 2 terraces, one with a brick built barbecue (ground floor), table, chairs and parasol, the other with table chairs and 2 loungers. Both terraces have beautiful views over the bay and surrounding areas.
Coast/Beach
The property is a 5 minute walk to the beach via a staircase leading to the old town. There are two very pretty beaches, one large and one small with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops to suit all tastes, many of the restaurants can be found within the castle walls. Ferry boats offer an excellent means of transport, linking Tossa with other resorts and coves along the Costa Brava. There is also an excellent coastal drive northwards with viewing areas to appreciate this breathtaking coastline.
Golf
There are several local golf courses, the best known is the Catalunya PGA Golf Course.
Travel
The nearest airport is Girona which is approximately 35kms away taking 30-35 minutes by car. Barcelona airport is approx 100km and 1 and a half hours drive away. Car hire is recommended to visit the surrounding area and coastal drives as well as Barcelona. However, there is an excellent bus service from Tossa to Barcelona ( bookable in advance) which is very efficient and reasonably priced.

Further details
Tossa de Mar is a small fishing village where boats are still hauled up onto the beach to repair nets etc. Very popular with Spanish holidaymakers it has developed around the Old Town and its 2 beaches. There are no high rise buildings. Restaurants along the sea front and shops and bars in the pedestrian streets cater for all tastes. Tossa is an ideal base from which to explore Catalonia, Barcelona with its Gaudi architecture, and the Picasso museum are to be mentioned and not missed. A Marineland complex and The Botanical Gardens- both in Blanes (10kms away) make for a popular day out for families.
