Can Xargay is a millennial country house of XI century and with a special charm. It is situated in Mata's village and 2km from Banyoles Lake. 50m from the local shops and 1km from the restaurants. The house has got 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, kitchen, dining-room, living-room, reading room, fireplace and play-room. A BBQ in the garden with a covered porch and private swimming-pool of 6x3 meters with a hydromassage bench only for you, you don't have to share it with anybody else. Car is not necessary because there is a public transport (by bys) 300m from the house. The climate of the Pla de L'estany region is a typically Mediterranean one. The proximity with the coast gives a soft temperatures during all the year. Free Wifi area.

Changeover day
The changeover day from September to June is on Friday (but it is flexible, not in weekend). The changeover day from July to August in on Saturday.

Outside
The garden has a BBQ area and a private swimming-pool of 6x3 meters with a hidromassage bench only for you, you don't have to share it with anybody else. In the garden there are 10 sunbeds and 10 garden chairs and a big table with chairs for eating outside.
Coast/Beach
The house is 35km from the beach (Costa Brava). The beach is near L'Escala, in the little Empúries village. It is a peaceful beach. Besides, it is recommended for the children because of the shallow depth of the water.
Golf
The house is 9km from Girona Golf. Golf Girona is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course designed by the English architect F.W. Hawtree, seeded entirely with Penncross, the best quality grass for playing golf.
A course that is entirely adapted to its natural surroundings, featuring an advanced sprinkling system using regenerated water from Girona's purification plant, and meeting the most up-to-date environmental standards.
The top nine holes are extremely competitive – their design requires players to use all the clubs in their bags. The bottom nine are simply spectacular, with all the tees set atop walls built with Girona stone, offering impressive panoramic views of the fairways. It is a true pleasure to follow the flight of the ball towards its destination, and encourages many players to take out their woods.
Special interest holidays
The most interesting place in Banyoles to visit, is the Olympic Banyoles lake that it was the Olympic city of rowing at 1992. The lake represents the origin and main symbolic identity of the town of Banyoles. The lake and its associated lacustrine basin are regarded as the largest karstic stretch on the Iberian Peninsula, and make up an environmental system of enormous value. It's located to the West of the town, it was declared part of the Plan for Spaces of National Interest (Pla d’Espais d’Interès Nacional, Pein) by the Catalonia Generalitat. In 2003, it was included in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance, and has been put forward for inclusion in the Natura 2000 Network for the Mediterranean region. In addition, the Banyoles Town Council, as well as the local population, are petitioning for it to be declared a Nature Reserve. Besides, it is important to visit the Banyoles town too! Banyoles’ historical centre houses the origins of the medieval town.

Car is not essential because the house is situated 300m from the public transport (by bus). The house is situated 25km from the International Airport of Girona-Costa Brava (Ryanair flights, a low cost company) and 9km from the motorway.

Further details
The climate of the Pla de l'estany region is the typically Mediterranean one. The proximity with the coast gives soft temperatures during all the year. During the spring there are some sunny days with pleasant temperatures (from 8ºC at the night to 33ºC at the day or from 46ºF to 91ºF), which will allow you to enjoy the privileged natural environment. The summers, quite warm (from 15ºC to 35ºC or from 59ºF to 95ºF), they allow to carry out every type of aquatic activities.
In the autumn, however, the rains are frequent and the temperature is from 8ºC to 28ºC or from 46ºF to 82ºF. The winters are soft and dry and the temperature is from 0ºC to 20ºC or from 32ºF to 68ºF.
