Casa Sylvia is an attractive rustic house with exposed beams and bags of charm. The owners have furnished it for comfortable family living. Outside, the garden is well tended by a keen gardener from the village. It has a wide array of fruit trees (oranges, lemons and nectarines to name a few) and colourful shrubs and flowers, many in pots surrounding the house itself. Najara is an welcoming small, unspoilt Andalucian hamlet. Cantarranas is a local village close by with a wonderful bakery and local bars and restaurant. However, in just 10 mins you can drive from Najara to the bustling white hilltop 'pueblo' of Vejer or carry on beyond to the beaches of Los Canos, Trafalgar, El Palmar and Conil. 10 mins in the other direction brings you to Benalup (on the edge of the Alcornacales National Park) with a wide selection of shops, eating places, buzzing nightlife and an 18-hole golf course.

Benalup Golf and Country Club, featuring the Fairplay Golf Hotel Spa is a mere 5 minutes away. It is situated in a unique environment with stunning views over the "La Janda" valley and the "Los Alcornocales" natural park.
The course is a Par 73, including 5 par 5s.
The 6073m natural course with various lakes is a real challenge for all types of players. The lower handicaps will certainly enjoy the technical challenge whilst playing from the back tees. The greens are large and on some holes quite undulating.The all-inclusive green fee makes Benalup Golf & Country Club unique. The green fee includes breakfast, refreshments on the course, a 3-course lunch and drinks.
The driving range is 215m long and 120m wide. It has a total of 15 tees on grass and mats. There are 3 nets for practicing shorts shots and there’s a pitching green next to the driving range.

Golf: play golf on one of the fabulous local courses, the closest at Benalup is only 5 mins away
Swimming: visit the stunning Atlantic beaches such as at El Palmar and Cape Trafalgar (20 mins by car)
Vejer: spend time wandering through the ancient winding Moorish streets and alleyways of Vejer and appreciate the splendour of the unique Vejer patios
Horse Riding: from an hour to a whole day, take a made to measure outing. It's a great way to view the scenery and the stables are just at the bottom of the road, 5 minutes from the house!
Sherry tasting: spend a day out in Jerez visiting the Carthusian horse stables, tour a sherry house (such as Gonzalez Byass, the home of Tio Pepe), one of the renowned tapas bars, the Alcazar, or the Royal Equestrian school (only 50 mins by car).
Shopping: visit Conil market on a Friday morning or browse the myriad of shops in Vejer.
Explore Cadiz: completely undersold by the toursit guides, visit the unspoilt ancient port of Cadiz with it's naval history, glistening domed cathedral, flower market, and Camera Oscura, the Torre Tavira.
Whale watching: take a boat from Tarifa out into the Straits of Gibraltar to see the migrating dolphins and whales.
Dine out: the thing to do for romantics and foodies alike. Some of the best fish restaurants can be found at the beach, so sip a sherry or glass of wine as you watch one of the stunning sunsets!
