Notes on accommodation
The south-facing location of the apartment ensures the sunshine onto the terrace, overlooking the smaller pools meaning this is excellent to keep an eye on the kids below. Three-speed ceiling fans are provided in each bedroom inc lounge and the AC doubles as heating for the cooler months.
The complex is fully gated with 24hr security and offers secure underground parking with direct access to the apartment by lift or stairs.

Accessibility
The complex is fully accessible for wheelchair use with ramps and lifts in place. Only the stairs from the patio to the terrace have no wheelchair access.
Outside
Laguna beach has 3 main pools and 2 childrens pools with life guards in attendance. There are landscaped gardens with fountains, palm trees and grassed areas as well as a children's playground. There are also 4 floodlit tennis/paddle courts, gymnasium and Jacuzzi. This is a tranquil area and the roof terrace allows for secluded sunbathing and romantic dining under the stars.
Coast/Beach
The beach can be seen from the apartment, only 2 mins away. The marina and its surrounding beaches are 5 mins away by car and are superb for the kids being able to wade out in the shallows and have the fish swim around their feet. You could chose to walk or cycle along the fully lit promenade with the option of returning by bus. There are showers, toilet facilities and lifeguards dotted throughout the length of the prom.
Golf
Almerimar has an excellent 27-hole golf course designed by Gary Player in 1976 & recently re-modelled. The Clubhouse is friendly and the attractive restaurant provides excellent food for hungry golfers. Clubs, trolleys and buggies are available for hire. 5 minutes from the apartment by car means it could not be more convenient. 30 minutes by road to the east towards Almeria are two more excellent courses, La Serena at Roquetas and La Envia just 10 minutes north of Roquetas in the mountains. An hour to the east is the new and highly rated Valle d’Este golf course and another 15 minutes east brings you to the legendary Desert Springs.
Skiing
The apartment is just 2 hours away from the great “Sky Station” ski village resort near Granada in the Sierra Nevada range reached through breath-taking scenery on top class mountain motorways. The Ski resort has ski-runs going up to 3,300 metres altitude and a very attractive ski village with ample high quality accommodation at reasonable prices if you fancy staying over for a couple of nights. In the Winter and Spring, one-day skiing excursions are quite practical and excellent fun – leave the apartment at 8 am arrive at 10 am - hire your skis - have an early lunch and be on the slopes with your half-day pass by noon. Ski until 5 p.m. if you’re keen, have a nice relaxing apres-ski tea or something stronger and be back in Almerimar by 8 pm A nice warm shower – dress and be out before 9 pm for dinner in one of the best restaurants overlooking the marina for less cost per head than a Friday night pub meal in the UK.
Travel
Almerimar is only a 35-40 minute journey from Almeria Airport traveling along the uncrowded E15 N340 motorway. Easyjet, Ryan Air and Monarch have daily flights from Stansted, Gatwick, Manchester, Luton, Dublin and Birmingham. There are flights from Newcastle, Leeds, Glasgow and Cork with Jet2.com, Mytravel, First Choice and Flightline. Car hire is recommended and available from the airport at reasonable rates.
Distances
Almerimar is a 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk along the promenade. Rocetas de Mar is only 20 minutes. Almeria town with its majestic cathedral, old town tapas bars and elegant designer boutiques is 20 mins drive away. Granada and its famously beautiful Alhambra Palace is less than 2 hours away by car (or 1hr. journey by train from Almeria railway station). Malaga is also 2.5 hours drive along the coast. The whole Andalusian region is very well serviced by the Mediterranean Highway (E15).
