Attractive country villa with beamed ceilings on hillside close to white villages of Competa, Archez and Canillas. Tranquil but not isolated. Reached by short, steep, unmade track. Refurb for 2008. Comprises 3 double rooms (2 en-suite), kid's room with bunk beds, family bathroom, cot. Lounge, dining area, well equipped kitchen, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Large terrace with uniform depth swimming pool, amazing coastal and hillside views, Spanish BBQ and fenced garden. Safe sandy beaches at Torre del Mar 20 mins and Nerja approx 30 mins. Day trip to the Alhambra Palace in Granada pre bookable on internet. Car hire is essential, there is a local, reasonably priced taxi company who will collect/return you to the villa for those nights you want to leave the car. Wonderful choice of local restaurants. Competa has mini supermarkets, bakers and there really is no need to go further, but the Hypermarket at Torre del Mar and shopping precinct is worth a visit
