The colonial style villa is situated 10 minutes drive from Marbella, Puerto Banus and the white village of Istan. The villa boasts outstanding views of the sea, lakes, Gibraltar and the Atlas mountains. Casa Melilla sits within a beautiful secure garden, olive, fruit trees, herbs and Mediterranean flowers surround the swimming pool, which is set in a large level lawned area, with steps leading down to a lower garden level. The villa has polished cream marble floors throughout, and has an eclectic mix of antiques, original works of art, stylish contemporary furniture, creating a calm and comfortable home. There is a modern fully fitted and equipped kitchen. The large light living room has an open log fireplace and dining area, both have French doors leading out onto the terraces and al fresco dining area. 4 double bedrooms have French doors to outside terraces, to take in the fabulous views. All are en-suite with baths, shower, bidet and sink.

Notes on accommodation
There is underfloor heating, as well as hot air fans/air conditioning. Open log fire for winter use. The villa is suitable for children. As there is a ground floor double bedroom and open plan living area, the villa could be suitable for those with disabilities, although the shower is over the bath. Cot and high chair available on request.

Accessibility
There are 2 steps up to the villa. The garden is flat and there are 3/4 steps into the swimming pool.
Outside
Surrounding the 8m x 4m private pool (not heated), is a large flat lawned secure garden containing many mature fruit trees and tropical plants. There are 8 sunbeds and 2 large parasols. The shaded terraces at ground level include a dining area with a very comfortable outdoor dining suite seating 8. There are more chairs with tables on other terraces. A Weber BBQ is also available.
Coast/Beach
There are many beautiful beaches within the area. The nearest being 10 minutes drive at Puerto Banus and Marbella.
Golf
There are many excellent golf courses within a 10 minute drive. Details available upon request for bookings and rates.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada mountains are just over 2 hours drive. They are beautiful in both summer and winter. It is possible to ski in the mornings, and be home, or on the beach in the afternoon!
Travel
Malaga and Gibraltar airport are both approximately 45 minutes drive. A car is essential.
Distances
A 10 minute drive to Puerto Banus, Marbella, and the lovely old 'white' village of Istan. San Pedro, Benhavis (a lovely village famous for many superb restaurants) are 15 - 20 minutes drive.
Further details
8 -10 minutes drive to the nearest shop, supermarkets, banks etc. We have compiled an information box listing places of interest, restaurants, and maps. There are also books on the area which you may find useful, board games, DVD's and CD's. The golf courses are within a short drive, as are canoeing/fishing on the lake at Istan, horse riding, jeep safaris, gun club, and tennis club/gym. Go-karting and amusement park 30 minutes. Wireless internet connection available.
Booking notes
25% deposit payable on booking. The balance payment and a £500 security bond payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
