Accessibility
The villa is of recent construction and sits within its own garden plot. It is bounded by walling surmounted by iron railings. The railings have been clad with an ornamental covering to give a high degree of privacy. Access to the property from the road is via a key/telephone entry system. There is also a double gate giving access to the drive. The property is all on one level and would be suitable for people with mobility problems, although there is a step up to the entrance door to the villa.
Outside
Private pool 28ft x 12ft with outside shower, 6 sun loungers, large patio and roof top solarium. Lighting is provided within the pool and around the garden and patio. The solarium has a garden table and 4 chairs plus sun umbrella. BBQ and garden table with 6 chairs are located at ground level. Umbrella clothes line. Shrubs and fruit trees are stategically placed around the garden. Off road parking for two or three cars.
Coast/Beach
20 minute drive to the beaches of Vera Playa, Garrucha and Mojacar. Vera has a large water park suitable for all ages. All the beaches consist of golden sands and in many areas particularly between Garrucha and Mojacar, it is possible to park immediately on the beach. Beach cafes are strategically placed. The coastal resort of San Juan is 30 minute drive away. This is a beautiful cove with many Tapas Bars on the beaches. The coast road from Vera to San Juan offers lovely views and private coves.
Golf
Two golf courses within 10/15 minute drive.
Travel
Travel from Almeria airport 50 minutes. Murcia airport 80 minutes. Car hire essential. Airport pick up can be arranged if so desired. Alicante airport approx 1hr 45min using new motorway.
Distances
Located 5 minutes walk to village of Alfoquia with the larger town of Albox 10 minute drive away. Albox offers all the facilities of a small town including a large supermarket. Baza lakes located approx an hours drive away boasts some of the most beautiful scenery one could wish for. For those of a more adventurous nature Fort Bravo Film Studios are located approx 80 minutes drive away, offering whole host of entertainment for young an old including water park and daily film re-enactment shows.
Further details
La Alfoquia has several bars and restaurants, including a Thai Restaurant. There are several small mini markets, bakers, butchers, hardware stores, tobacconist and even an Internet shop. Two banks are also located in the village, also a garage. Zurgena, which is only a two to three minute drive away, has two Supermarkets, and holds a street market every Friday. There is also an English speaking Chemist and a cash machine located in the Cajamar Bank. A street market is held in Alfoquia every Sunday.
