The villa is equipped and furnished to a high standard to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The villa is situated in prime location, within easy walking distance of all facilities including supermarket, hotel, town centre bars, restaurants, club house and golf course. The site also has children’s play areas, tennis courts and 12 communal pools, though the villa is equipped with its own large private 8x4m swimming pool, in fenced South West facing garden, were you can enjoy your meals alfresco style. Why not drive to the beautiful city of Murcia or Cartagena or visit one of the many lively markets and browse the many stalls. The region also boasts beautiful sandy beaches within easy reach, diverse landscapes and nature reserves, making it the ideal place to indulge and explore.

Bathrooms: All bathrooms are luxurious, fully tiled with lighted mirrors. Two have a bath with shower above WC and bidet.
Ground floor has walk- in shower enclosure - adjacent to bedroom 3.

Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen equipped to cater for 8 guests with built-in oven, hob and extractor, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, iron and infant equipment.
Utility Room: Contains combination boiler for central heating and hot water. Washing machine, ironing board, cleaning equipment, infant equipment, garden furniture cushions, set of tennis racquets, cooler box and sun parasol.
Living Rooms: 2 large comfortable leather settees one becomes sofa bed . Modern dinning table, sideboard, coffee table, 32' LCD TV, DVD player, English satellite TV (BBC ITV C4 C5 Some Sky channels and Radio) Ipod docking station, CD player, selection of books/games.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The villa will be cleaned before your arrival. Towels and linen are provided for use within the villa. Please bring your own beach towels. A £75 cleaning charge applies to all bookings. Extra cleaning or linen change can be provided at an additional cost.

 

Notes on accommodation
The villa is equipped to be as child friendly as possible. A travel cot, stair gate, bottle steriliser, bottle warmer, highchair, baby bath seat, baby rocking chair, changing mat and play mat are provided for you to use at no additional cost. The villa is fitted with carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm, fire blanket and extinguisher. Hot and cold air conditioning units in bedrooms are all equipped with anti allergy filtering system. Villa has full central heating for the cooler months.
For Sunday and late arrivals a welcome pack can be pre-ordered. Smoking allowed in garden area only. No pets allowed.

Accessibility
The villa is suitable for the less mobile, having downstairs bedroom and bathroom. The Polaris World resort communal areas have been planned with the less than able in mind, having wide pavements, no ramp greater than 8%. Specifically designed phone boxes, benches, dustbins, kiosks, vending machines, water fountains, thus facilitating everyone’s mobility.

Outside
Perfect place to eat and relax and enjoy the outdoor climate. 2nd line golf, and occupies a large 430m2 corner plot, and is fully fenced for safety, privacy and is in a sunny south west facing aspect.

The large private swimming pool can also be independently fenced with slot in panels quickly and easily, for additional child safety. Four Sun lounges are provided. Large extending wooden table with 8 chairs plus a outdoor sofa,two chairs and coffee table under a shaded pergola. Traditional style brick built chimney BBQ and cooking utensils.

Upper Terrace has table and two chairs.

The villa is in good location, with all major on-site facilities within a couple of minutes walk. Supermarket, town centre, clubhouse, bars and restaurants (some properties can require car or long walk to reach these facilities). The site also has many communal pools, children’s play areas and tennis courts for your use.

Coast/Beach
The closes beaches of the Mar Menor are Los Alcazares and Santiago de la Ribera, 20 mins drive. Both have great facilities The Mar Menor is the largest salt water lagoon in Europe and famous for its mud lagoon, said to have healing properties. The water is ideal for families as the water is warm, calm and shallow. The Mar menor is also a mecca for water-sports enthusiasts. Local sports include sailing, windsurfing, fishing and diving. Other activities include walking, cycling and horse-riding.

Guests of the villa are entitled to discounted Green Fees, on the following courses.
Designed by Nicklaus Design the La Torre Golf Resort course offers 18 holes, par 68 and four sets of tees. Provisional distances (metres): (black) 5,350, (blue) 4,934, (white) 4,422, (red) 3,822.A Handicap card is required to play. Tariffs/buggy and club hire costs can be provided on request.
This course features over 5 hectares of sophisticated bunkers that separate the holes, creating strategic points which provide added value to the shots. Plus, a denser grass has been planted around the bunkers, creating the optimum wind shot effect.
There are three other Jack Nicklaus courses to play within 10 min drive, Mar Manor, El Valle and Hacienda Riquelme, Terrazas and Alhama in the making.
Other courses in the area include Mosa Trajectum, Torre Pacheco, La Finca and Las Ramblas, Roda and the La Manga Golf Resort.

Travel
15 mins drive to San Javier airport, Murcia. 60 mins drive to Alicante airport. 15 mins drive to Corvera Airport (due to open 2011). 20 mins drive to the cityof Murcia and 25mins drive to Cartegena. Airport transfers are available for an additional charge. A hire car is recommended to enjoy the surrounding areas.

Distances
20 mins drive to city of Murcia with plenty for the tourist to see and do. Excellent shopping, restaurants and nightlife. 20 mins drive to Mar Menor nature reserve and it’s pink flamingos. 25 mins drive to La Manga Strip and Cartagena. 20 mins drive to the sandy beach of Los Alcazares. 30 mins drive to Aquapolis water park in Torrevieja. Approx 80 mins drive to Terra Mitica theme park in Benidorm.

La Torre Golf Resort is a self-contained 'gated' resort with Mediterranean-style, whitewashed villas, townhouses and apartments. Built around a town centre and attractive lake, along with an 18-hole golf course, 12 communal swimming pools, tree-lined avenues and landscaped gardens, restaurants, hotel, bars including a golf bar/snack bar, internet access, a large well-stocked supermarket (selling international goods), playgrounds, tennis courts and an international school. The resort is ideal for cycling: bikes can be hired and delivered to your door from a local supplier. The resort also offers 24Hr security and friendly English-speaking staff. Please check for opening times of the bars and restaurants on La Torre as they vary depending on the season. Not all are open out of peak season.

Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of £150 is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before your arrival plus a damages deposit of £150 and £75 clean/linen charge. The damages deposit is refunded in full after the villa has been checked, providing no loss or damage has occurred which includes items left in a dirty condition such as barbeque/oven/pool. Great well maintained accommodation, in a prime location close to the facilities, I was very impressed with the level of thought that has gone into preparing the villa for small children and babies (bottle warmers high chairs, cots, etc). I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone, and can be contacted through the owners to do so. SO over June 09.
Just to let you know we really enjoyed our fortnight, the villa was lovely - everything we wanted for a very relaxing holiday.

We had a fantastic time. The villa was great - well equipped and very child friendly, made life a lot easier. We have booked villa holidays for many years and your villa was far the best regarding safety for young children and convenience for facilities on the complex. We were particularly impressed with the pool fence. Neither of us are golfers so we didn't take advantage of those facilities but I particularly enjoyed using the Spa and gym at the hotel. My husband and I are in our 40's and we are counting down the years until we can retire to La Torre. In the meantime we would love to share our villa with you. We have furnished it to a high standard to make it feel like a home from home. I'm always happy to answer any questions or queries you may have regarding your booking and during your stay.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought our villa in Murcia because of the wonderful climate with over 300 days of sunshine. La Torre is in a great location having good transport links, San Javier airport being a 15mins drive away and the new Corvera airport (due to open 2011) another 15mins away. The cities of Murcia and Cartegena are both less than 30 mins away plus there are many lovely sandy beaches close by.

Unique benefits of the property
Our villa is in a great location on the resort. Less than a 5mins walk to the hotel, bars and restaurants. Some properties on La Torre can be more than a 20 mins walk to the main facilities. It's in a quiet location on a large corner plot. The garden is fully fenced and faces south westerly, great for enjoying the sunshine. Shade is provided under the pergola to cool down. The pool has a removable fence, giving peace of mind for guests with young children. We have many items that we leave in the villa that you are welcome to use to make your holiday more enjoyable. Racquets for the tennis courts, cooler box, parasol, buckets/spades for the beach, inflatables for the pool and a good selection of infant/toddler items.
