Hacienda Riquelme is a fab new golf and holiday destination in the Costa Calida located close to the small town of Sucina.The apartments are ready and the centre is under construction. There are temporary facilities on site. Our 2nd floor apartment overlooks the swimming pool and 11th fairway of the largest Jack Nicklaus designed golf course which is set around the Hacienda (country house), a fantastic 18 hole par 72 stretching some 6416 metres from the back tee, with its wide fairways and hard to approach greens protected by lakes and bunkers all ready to complicate your game - all in all a fun and challenging course. Just a 15 minute drive takes you to the closest beach along with other Polaris resorts where you can relax, play golf and enjoy sampling some of the many restaurants and tapas. Located in the Murcia region of Spain with its exceptional average temp of 21c which offers you 250km of lovely Med coastline. The Mar Manor sea temp is 5c warmer than the Med.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per weekend stay/week in UK pounds. Cleaning costs are not included and are:- 70 euros per clean including laundry for 2 persons an extra 5 euros per person thereafter for laundry (paid locally).
Three nights minimum stay.
Discounts will be available for longer term lets price on application.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. Arrivel time 4pm. Departure time 10am. Times may be flexible check on booking.

Bedrooms: Bedrooms 1 and 2 with twin beds, built-in wardrobes with 3 drawer unit, bedside table, alarm clocks, hangers + hairdryer in each room. French doors leading out a terrace with country views. Beds can be made into double beds.
Bathrooms: Bathroom with bath/shower with adjustable shower rail over, wc, bidet. A shower mat has been provided for you use and safety.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, and should contain everything you need. Pots, pans, plates, cutlery, and most importantly a cork screw! You will also find a safe for you use (free of charge).
Utility Room: Also in the kitchen there is also a small fire extinguisher and behind the kitchen door is an ironing board the iron is situated on a shelf under the microwave. Some basic tools are left in the drawer unit along with some plug adaptors for you to use.
Living Rooms: Lounge with double sofabed (metal framed and should provide a good comfortable place to sleep). LCD TV, DVD player, CD unit. You will also find a selection of games / playing cards, books, DVDs and CDs for your use. Air conditioning
Other: Dining room with 6 leather chairs (2 of which are in the bedrooms). The table seats 6 comfortably.

Towels and all linen are provided. Weekly laundry optional for a small charge.

Outside
There is an elevator from secure underground parking up to your accommodation (keeps the car nice and cool in the summer). There is a large south west facing sunny terrace, perfect for relaxing on with a good book and a glass of wine. To the front of the apartment. There is a stunning communal pool with children's pool in a fenced off area.
Patio furniture set plus 2 sun loungers with sun visors and headrests. Surrounding the property there are well thought out landscaped gardens, all within a secure gated environment. Enjoy an early morning or evening stroll around the golf course.

Coast/Beach
The Costa Calida offers a Mediterranean coastline where you will discover an exceptional climate with an average of 320 days sunshine a year. The Mar Manor with its clean safe beaches like Santiago de la Ribera - Lovely clean beach and a ferry to the La Manga strip round trip 8 euro's. San Pedro del Pinater where you can benefit from the therapeutic properties of the mud baths, especially suitable for treating bone and skin ailments than relax in the warm calm waters of the Mar Menor.

Golf
The Jack Nicklaus golf trail - Hacienda Riquelme, El Valle, La Torre and the Mar Menor golf resorts are all linked by a free shuttle bus for you to take on the challenge, there will be 9 Jack Nicklaus courses when they are all completed. All within 15 minutes drive. Other courses in the area include - Peraleja Golf next door, Mosa Trajectum next to El Velle, Roda Golf Resort near San Javier, La Manga Club 35 minutes drive and many many more in this golfers paradise. Tennis courts are also on site along with children's play areas.

Travel
Murcia airport (MJV) is approx 20 mins. Alicante airport (ALC) is approx 60 mins. Balsicas 10 mins drive has a main line train station. A car is highly recommended as nearest bus is in Sucina. Car hire in Spain is very reasonable - Murcia Car Hire, and Do you Spain.com both proven to be reliable with decent vehicles.

Distances
Sucina is a 5 min drive away, offering a fuel station, 2 supermarkets, bakers with small cafe, restaurant, bars (tapas), banks, hardware store and tobacs. Murcia (City). The capital of the region a 30 min drive approx, its main sights are its cathedral. You can shop til you drop. Lorca a lovely inland city with a fabulous castle. San Pedro del Pinater- enjoy the benefit from the therapeutic properties of its mud, especially suitable for treating bone and skin ailments.

Further details
The Jack Nickluas golf trail:- Hacienda Riquelme, El Valle, La Torre and the Mar Menor golf resorts all linked by free shuttle bus for you to take on the challenge, La torra offers supermarket, bars, restaurants, the Encina buffet (all you can eat for a set prices and the desserts are to die for) is well worth a visit. For the young or young at heart try the water park Torrevieja Aqupolis one of the best parks on the Costa Blanca (30 mins drive).

Water sports - The shallow waters and warm winds of the Mar Menor make it ideal for both Windsurfing and Kite boarding, both of which can be hired from various shops and schools along the Mar Menor shoreline. Jet skiing is also very popular and these can also be hired from ABC La Manga sports centre. Pedallos can be hired from the centre of Los Alcazares.

For the horse riders there is El Rancho which cater for beginners and experiences riders. They also hire bikes. Go-karting - Located on the airport road. 15 minutes drive approx. Walking/cycling:- Calblaque to Cala Reona - Calblanque is one of the few areas along the Murcian coast that still conserves its natural state to a great extent. This area is made up of an untouched coastline with arid mountains, fossil dunes, long golden beaches and a beautiful blue sea and was declared a Regional Nature Reserve in 1987. The Greenhouse Route - Los Alcazares - San Javier - Los Alcazares - A bike ride on the flat inland, crossing fruit and vegetable crops and immense fields of greenhouses. Length 22km. For the kids: Torrevieja Aqupolis, the park is one of the biggest water parks on the Costa Blanca. Lots of fun for all the family.

Booking notes
Cleaning costs not included - £45 per clean, also includes laundry change for 2, £5 extra pp for laundry. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking confirmation. A £99 security / damage deposit required (refunded within 2 weeks after the last date of rental except where costs have been incurred). Balance will be required 6 weeks before start of holiday. Bookings can be made by email or phone and your reservation will be confirmed as soon as we receive a completed booking form.
