Spending time at The Orange Grove is one of life’s pleasures. Go through the gates and you enter a different world. Our guests frequently tell us how staying in our holiday properties enables them to relax and de-stress from day one, and this is never more true than at The Orange Grove. The villa is one of the grandest in the area, and radiates from a vine-covered central courtyard – itself a wonderful place to take yourself off to with a good book. From the entrance hall, in one direction you find the main living accommodation with 3 en-suite bedrooms; in the other, 2 further completely self-contained casitas, each with their own living areas, bathrooms, kitchenettes and secluded patios, making it extremely versatile. Head outside, and you realise this house was designed for entertaining. A huge chestnut-beamed Tinao gives way to the heated pool and lush garden - a full 2 acres in all - making this a great place to be in all seasons. And where is it? Only a 20 minute walk from Orgiva.

Notes on prices
As an introduction to The Orange Grove, we're offering the property to guests at reduced rates throughout 2008. For bookings of 2 weeks or more, we offer a very generous 20% discount off the total amount - not just the second week. So, for example, a 2 week booking of the whole house in May 2008 would cost €2160. Please note: The Casitas will not be rented to separate parties - they will simply be locked if not in use.
Short breaks of a minimum of 4 nights available in Mid and Low seasons.
Changeover day
Preferably Sundays, but we will always be as flexible as possible.

| Other: | The house is entered either from the central courtyard or from the garden area. The Main house leads off the entrance hall in one direction, with the Casitas leading off in the other. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All towels, including beach towels and towelling robes for the pool. Bed linen will be changed on a weekly basis. The house will be cleaned prior to every changeover. |
Notes on accommodation
The whole villa is centrally heated in winter, with an open fireplace in the winter to make the atmosphere that bit cosier. All bedrooms have fans, although due to the shade provided by the "tinao" and orange trees, these are unlikely to be needed! Each bedroom has a DVD player, and a selection of DVDs.
Accessibility
The Orange Grove has excellent accessibility for guests with mobility problems.
Outside
Where to start? The Orange Grove is set in 2 acres of its own grounds, with hundreds of protected orange trees interspersed with ancient olive trees (up to 1000 years old!). The heated swimming pool is 9.5m x 4m, and has a barriered shallow end which is ideal for small children. There are loads of terraces, including the chestnut-beamed "tinao", a pool terrace, the cobbled terrace beside the living room, and private patios at each of the Casitas. Or you could simply lose yourself among the innumerable orange trees - perfect for a sly nap in the heat of the summer!
Coast/Beach
The large, open beaches of Salobrena and Almunecar are just over 30 minutes away. There are additionally a great many secluded coves dotted along the rugged Coast Tropical.
Golf
Golf is available either on the coast or close to the motorway in Granada. All course are within 30 minutes drive of The Orange Grove.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada ski resort is just over an hour by car.
Travel
Granada airport - 1 hour
Malaga airport - 1 hour 45 minutes
Almeria airport - 2 hours.
Distances
Orgiva - the largest town in the western Alpujarra is only 5 minutes in the car, or 20 minutes in foot.

Additional Features and Information: The Orange Grove is a fantastic property - we fell in love with it from the moment we saw it. It really is the best of all worlds - a perfect destination for groups of friends and couples, as well as families, to come and relax, get together by the pool, or, if you prefer, find the privacy of your own self-contained Casita with sunny terraces. The large plot of land surrounding the house, combined with the dense orange trees in the garden make it a very private, peaceful place to wile away the hours of sunshine all year round. Orgiva is only a few minutes away in the car for shopping, or a very pleasant stroll after an evening in town. The property can either be accessed to the north from Orgiva itself, past the pretty, closely-clustered cortijos of the La Estrella suburb of the town, or from the south along from the 'Seven Eye' bridge, following the Rio Guadalfeo. In the house, there is a good supply of books and magazines, along with a selection of board games.
Further Afield: The Orange Grove is about 15 minutes drive from the villages of The High Alpujarra. Between these villages runs the famous GR-7 walking route, or, if you're feeling more adventurous, you could try tackling the high peaks of Mulhacen and Veleta at 3,400m altitude. Granada city, with The Alhambra and Generalife Gardens are only an hour away, while the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada is about 1 hour 20 minutes by car. Golf courses can be found about 40 minutes away, either on the coast, or on the way to Granada.
Local Services: Orgiva has a weekly market every Thursday - great for fresh fruit and vegetables as well as herbs and spices. There are some excellent restaurants in town, and we will advise on all aspects of local life to enable guests to make the most of their holiday. We provide copies of The Rough Guide to Andalucia, as well as Jeremy Rabjohns's 'Holiday Walks in The Alpujarra' and detailed walking maps of the region.

We operate a very simple booking procedure. We accept a 20% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance payable on arrival at The Orange Grove.
