Completely and sensitively refurbished to a high standard. The house is designed in an 'upside down' fashion. The advantage being that during the day you have peaceful views onto an 11th century church courtyard and at night the comfort of cooler bedrooms. A five minute walk takes you into the town where there is a large pleasant open air swimming pool in the grounds of the local bar which is open to the public for a small charge. A further five minute walk will take you to a selection of restaurants, shops etc. Mondujar is ideally situated within the Lecrin Valley which is an area of outstanding natural beauty and cultural significance. The local people are very friendly and bars serving tapas abound. The property is minutes away from the modern Motril to Granada motorway offering fast access to Granada, the coast or ski slopes.

Notes on accommodation
Heating in bedrooms and bathroom for the winter months. Oil-filled radiators in the lounge and dining areas for background warmth. Wood for the log burner upon request from our agent who will make a small charge. Not suitable for children under 12 or the infirm. No smoking inside the house please. We regret, no pets.
Outside
Lower enclosed terrace with patio furniture. Upper terrace for serious sunworship. No pool, but excellent large open air pool with friendly bar, less than 5 minutes walk away. Price last year 3 euros per person for all day.
Coast/Beach
Salobrena is the nearest seaside resort on the Costa Tropical. The journey takes about 45 minutes by car travelling through a dramatic landscape. The beaches are quiet and are mostly populated by Spanish people.
Skiing
The most southerly major ski resort in Europe is situated on the beautiful mountain range of the Sierra Nevada, this is about 45 minutes by car. Full ski and snow board hire is available at reasonable prices, including most equipment for the absolute beginner to the most professional. Snow making equipment prolongs the season.
Travel
Car hire though not essential is recommended. Granada airport is a 30 minute drive away, its a modern clean and efficient airport. Malaga is an easy 1hr 50 minute drive through spectacular scenery.
Distances
Granada is less than 40 minutes away by car. It is a city steeped in history. The Alhambra, a World Heritage site and the most visited monument in Spain is not to be missed.
