Accessibility
The villa has 1 bedroom and bathroom/shower downstairs so it is suitable for those with mobility problems, there is however a small step at both the garden gate and front door. The pool has large shallow steps.

Coast/Beach
There are well over a hundred beaches along the Costa Calida – from tiny, deserted coves, to vast stretches of beach with every facility imaginable. The villa is 10 minutes (by car) from the closest beach and there are ten Blue Flag beaches within 30 minutes drive. The shallow mineral-rich waters of the Mar Menor are supposed to have therapeutic effect. The Mar Menor's salinity, furthermore, provides buoyancy so, all in, all it is one of the safest places to swim in the world.
Golf
The Murcia area is quickly becoming the premier region for golf in Spain. Within the area you can play links, mountain and desert style courses. The villa is located in the middle of the Jack Nicklaus golf trail (all the courses are within 10 minutes drive) and there are 27 courses within 30 minutes drive several of which are championship standard, the famous La Manga golf and sports complex is about 30 minutes by car. With an annual average of 338 days of sun all the courses are in top condition all year round.
Travel
The nearest airports in Murcia (San Javier) 10 minutes by car alternatively Alicante is 35 minutes by car. Although public transport is available it is recommended that you have access to a car if you want to enjoy the benefits of the area.
Further details
The area is steeped in history and culture, originally settled as a agricultural centre by the Romans it was ruled by the Moors for over 200 years, as a result there are many historic sites to visit right on the doorstep. This coupled with the close proximity of the inland mountain woodland regions means that the local cuisine is both diverse and exciting with many excellent restaurants serving everything from seafood to game. Murcia boasts over 300 days of sun each year, the region is known as one of the healthiest places to live in Europe. There are many spas and the salt pans of Lo Pagán 45 minutes drive to the north are credited with beneficial effects on the health, so you may want to go wallowing in the soothing muds! (plus, it cools you down in the August heat)

A deposit of £200 is required to book the property. The balance will need to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. Further details will be available from the owner when placing the booking. A security deposit of £200 is required in advance which will be returned in full within 10 days subject to checks for damages to the property. Airport transfers can also be arranged - please contact owner for further details.
