The house overlooks the Natural Park of Montnegre El Corredor and is very near the range of the Montseny with beautiful mountain scenery which will appeal to lovers of nature walks. The house has simple furnishings, a 10 meter swimming pool, a built-in barbecue, a log fire as well as central heating for the winter months. The key attraction is the tranquillity of the forests and mountains that surround the property, including a nearby megalithic dolmen. Vallgorguina is located in a valley between the mountain ranges of El Montnegre and El Corredor, natural areas of important ecological and scenic value. The town is surrounded by wood-covered mountains where a large variety of animal and plant species can be found. Vallgorguina and the surrounding woods are renowned for wild edible mushrooms. This natural area makes the valley an ideal location for walking, horse riding and mountain biking. The area is known throughout Catalonia for its legends about witches and dolmens.

For rentals during the winter months (October to March), a fee of £65 per week will be added to the rental price to cover the cost of central heating.
Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday, but can be flexible outside the main holiday periods of July, August and Easter. Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. Check in is after 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is by 10am on the day of departure.

The property has central heating. The garden and the pool are not recommended for very young children because they would need to be supervised at all times. No smokers or pets allowed.

Outside
The garden is on two levels accessed by steps. On the first level under the balcony is a built in barbecue. On the lower level the property has a 10 meter maintained private swimming pool. There is a large south facing terrace at the rear of the house with superb views, with a table and chairs for outside eating. There are 3 garden tables with chairs and 2 loungers.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Arenys de Mar at about 15 minutes drive. The pretty beaches and coves of the Costa Brava are about 1 hour drive.
Travel
The nearest airport is Girona, a 30 minutes drive. Barcelona airport is a 90 minutes drive. The nearest town is Sant Celoni a 10 minutes drive. A car is needed.
Distances
Barcelona with its magnificent architecture and cultural life is 45 minutes by car. The train service from Sant Celoni right to the centre of Barcelona and Girona is fast and frequent. Girona, with its wonderful medieval city is also 45 minutes away by car.
Further details
The village of Vallgorguina has a number of village shops and a bank. Supermarkets and a large variety of shops and banks can be found in Sant Celoni. There is a nearby restaurant in an old farmhouse 300 meters from the house. Sant Celoni boasts a three star Michelin restaurant famous all over Spain.
Booking notes
A booking must be accompanied by a deposit of 25% of the full cost of the rental. The balance must be paid six weeks before arriving at the property and a final invoice will be sent to you for this. If the invoice is not paid, we reserve the right to cancel your rental and apply the cancellation charges below depending on how much notice is given:
Six weeks or more- loss of deposit
Three to six weeks – 50% of final invoice
Less than three weeks – 100% of final invoice
