Casa Tranquila is situated in the best area of the Old Town and the property overlooks a pretty paved square with benches and trees. There are sea views from the rear of the property and you can hear the sea! The house has beamed ceilings, and shuttered doors to balconies overlooking the square and castle wall. The house still has its rustic charm and feels very light and airy with no houses immediately opposite or behind (there is a small no through lane at the rear).

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. 4 days minimum lets.
Winter lets November - March £500 per month. Late booking Discount of £25 per week if available up to 2 days before. Discounted rates for longer lets. Cleaning charge is £40 for cleaning at end of rental period, please pay this with your booking, if extra cleaning/laundry service is required during your stay you will be responsible for organising this and paying for it directly to the housekeeper as and when you require it.
Changeover day
Flexible changeover day. It may be possible to arrange your collection and return to the airport normal charge 35 euros each way. For more than 3 people the charge is 60 euros each way as two cars will be necessary.

Notes on accommodation
House is not suitable for young children or people who find stairs difficult. Although the house will sleep 6-8 people there are only two bedrooms but there is a sofabed on the first floor and bed settee in the lounge which could be used if necessary. It would be most suitable for 2-4 people ideally.
The T.V. does not have a sky card - it may work if you wish to bring one with you - there are freeview sky channels available including news 24 etc.
Accessibility
There is no ground floor area of the property but it is possible for 1 or 2 people to stay solely on the first floor level without needing to access the upper floors as it has lounge/diner with sofa bed, shower room wc and kitchen. It is not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
2 beach chairs. Sun loungers can be hired on the beach.
Coast/Beach
1 min walk to lovely sandy blue flag beach and there is a pretty harbour and port at the far end of the beach. There are numerous excellent restaurants along the sea front. The old town has a unique character and history and there are often street markets and festivals taking place there. The most famous being the Moors and Christian’s festival between 24th and 31st July which is an unforgettable experience!
Special interest holidays
This house would be a great place for artists, therapists (there is a massage couch on the top floor) and anyone who wants to relax and unwind. The old town is very picturesque and would be of interest for photographers.
Travel
Alicante airport 35 mins drive away. Car hire is unnecessary as all facilities are a few minutes walk away and there are plenty of taxis, a train station in the main town and buses if you wish to explore further afield. Cars can be hired locally or at the airport if you do wish to explore the inland countryside and villages.
Distances
Benidorm is only approx 8 miles away if you want a very lively place to visit, Alicante is about 20 miles away. There is a chocolate factory in Villajoyosa which will take you on a tour of the manufacturing process and the famous Valor chocolate is irresistible!
Further details
In the newer main town area there is a wide variety of shops, including shoe and clothes shops, numerous banks, health food shops, gymnasium and a recently built auditorium for music etc. There is a weekly market selling clothes, household effects, food, drink and crafts.
Booking notes
Bookings to be made minimum of a 2 weeks in advance with £75 deposit paid at time of booking. The remaining amount to be paid 2 weeks in advance including the cleaning charge.
