Approx 1hr to Alicante area beaches by car, or 1hr to Valencia beaches by car.

Distances
The local village of Jalance is 3km away, but the house is only 1km from the main road. The larger town of Ayora is 20km, whilst the historic towns of Requena and Almansa are both about 40kms away.
Further details
Jalance is one of the villages in the stunning Valley of Ayora. The rivers Jucar and Cabriel flow through this fertile valley, with its typical Mediterranean vegetation of pine trees, rosemary, thyme, rock roses, broom and esparto. The crops are olives, almonds, peaches and grapes. On the pine covered mountains you can see wild boar, mountain goats, foxes, partridges and golden eagles.
Jalance is a friendly village, The Real Spain, as far away from the Costas as you can imagine. It has all the facilities you will need, banks, bars, butchers, bakers, hairdressers, tourist office and several small general stores from before the days of supermarkets.
Worth a visit are the ruined castle, the beautiful church and the Cave of Don Juan. There are many stunning drives and walks you may take through the countryside on the web of excellent caminos. Particularly worth seeing are the local Fiestas, San Blas Feb 4th and Virgen de la Asuncion 15th of August.
