This is a beautifully appointed apartment situated in a quiet, secluded village nestling in the Sierra Nevada National Park. There are three double bedrooms, two bathrooms/toliets. The apartment has stunning views over the Sierra Nevada, and offers superb mountain walking, and access to a lush private garden and swimming pool (10 metres). Extensive shopping is possible either in the local town, Durcal, or Granada City which is 10 minutes drive away. Los Primos apartment is ideal for keen walkers, golfers or mountain-bikers. Alternatively, it is the perfect place to write, paint or create. Local sights of interest include the historic capital of the Moors - the Alhambra and Generelife gardens. The old quarter is filled with excellent restaurants and Flamenco bars. Further afield you have easy access to the Andalucian Capital, Seville and the great Moorish mosque in Cordoba. Finally, the beautiful 'Costa Tropical' is only half an hour away with beautiful beaches.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday pm, although we can be flexible. Departure is normally on Saturday am.
| Bedrooms: | The master bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Enjoying beautiful views over the lush garden and mountains. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 with two x single beds. All bedrooms have cupboards and chests of drawers. |
| Bathrooms: | The main bathroom has a toilet, bath and shower, plus use of a washing machine. The upstairs shower room has a toilet and adjoins the double bedroom. Next door is the roof terrace with lovely views over the mountains. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen has beautifully-crafted Spanish tiles with a gas oven and hob. It also has a big fridge/freezer and a wood-burning stove for those who like out-of-season holidays in the mountains. The dining area adjoins the open-plan living room. |
| Utility Room: | There is no utility room, but the apartment has a washing machine, iron and ironing board. |
| Living Rooms: | The open-plan living room has a dining table with 8 chairs, two settees and a sofa with large drinks table. The sofa can be made into a double bed, should the need arise. There is a full complement of cutlery, glasses, plates and all cooking equipment. |
| Other: | There is a roof terrace with stunning views over the Sierra Nevada Mountains, almond and olive groves. You can relax in our beautifully-crafted hard-wood terrace furniture - and even enjoy a BBQ! |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
There is a full complement of bath and hand towels for 8 people. All washing and cleaning is done by a local maid, and is done to a high standard, including bed linen. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment does not have air conditioning but enjoys the cooling winds of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Although there is wood-burning stove for out-of-season guests, it does not have adequate central heating. The apartment does have its own hot water supply, as well as wood-to-order.
Accessibility
This apartment is not suited to people with disabilities due to the number of stairs and mountain location.
Outside
There is a beautiful, lush garden with a shared pool for local guests. The pool is regularly cleaned and maintained and is about 15m in length - good for those early morning lengths! It also has a shower and a good supply of comfortable pool loungers. There is also an ideal shaded are for resting/reading for the midday sun!
Coast/Beach
The 'Costa Tropical' beaches are accessible via a half an hour drive, and offer a whole range of local beaches, hidden bays and fantastic fish restaurants and bars. The hidden bays are ideal for keen snorkellers and shell-hunters. Salobrena, the 'locals' beach' is particularly lovely with wide, sandy beaches and clear blue Mediterranean swimming. It also boasts the best sea food restaurant on the 'Costa Tropical' - El Penon- definitely worth sampling!
Golf
The lush Lecrin Valley has at least two international-standard 18 hole golf courses accessible via a 20 minute car drive.
Skiing
The famous, Winter-Olympic 'Sol y Nieve' resort is within a 45 minute drive, and offers beginners, intermediate and advanced skiing facilities and equipment hire.
Special interest holidays
Los Primos apartment is ideal for mountain walking, painting and writing holiday's.
Travel
There are two main airports for the Los Primos apartment- Malaga and Granada. Acequias village is 1½ hour’s drive from Malaga Airport and about ½ hour’s drive from Granada Airport. Car-hire is virtually essential due to the mountain location of Acequias village, which is close to Niguelas and just off the Granada-Motril motorway.
Distances
The nearest town is Durcal, which is 5 minutes' drive away, and Granada City is only 15 minutes drive away. The motorway provides ease of access to all the major towns and cities, including Cordoba and Seville.
Further details
Los Primos apartment is brilliantly served by a host of excellent short, medium and arduous walks for the adventurous. As the village of Acequias is situated within the Sierra Nevada National Park, it is ideal for people who love nature, and, if lucky, you could spot Iberian deer, foxes and even Red Eagles. Or you might just like the night life of 'Monte Blanco'- the old quarter of Granada with its Flamenco-dancing and bars.
