The cave house is situated on the outskirts of the village of Fontanar. Fontanar is a tranquil Spanish village which still retains many ancient traditions. The ancient wash rooms are still in use, baskets are weaved in the summer time and donkeys are often seen meandering through! It is called the village of many fountains (we have 7 in total) and water is sourced from underground lime caverns and is really refreshing and some say rejuvenating! Set close to the Sierra Pozo's, and Cazorlas beautiful views are guaranteed. Plus plenty of local wildlife. There are three local lakes which are both clean and ideal for watersports. The area is perfect for walking and cycling. Also it is recommended if you just want to escape from the rat race for a while!

Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | 1 large double bedroom with wardrobe. 2 single rooms with all bed linen included. |
| Bathrooms: | The bathroom is in the old mule house and consists of wc, shower and sink. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is light and airy and fully equipped with everything you need. Oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee machine as well as all cutlery and linen. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room is very atmospheric, tall with a central wood beam decorated in the traditional Moorish style. A leather 3 piece suite and wood burner stove is also there for those cooler winter months. |
| Other: | You will also have very private sun terrace with a table for 6 as well as a portable barbecue. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towel and bed linen provided, the cave is cleaned weekly or by mutual arrangement. |
Notes on accommodation
The cave house retains a constant temperature of 18 degrees, cool in summer and warm in winter. It is very peaceful and quiet. Fontanar has 2 small supermarkets and 2 bars which provide local food and pizzas to take away. Also there is a local pharmacy and doctors surgery available most weekday mornings.
Pozo Alcon is approx 6 km away and this has numerous shops and restaurants. The house is down the end of the village close to the mountains and is ideally situated for mountain walks straight from the house.

Accessibility
The cave house is not really suitable for people with mobility problems as it has a fairly steep driveway, please contact me if you have any queries regarding access.
Outside
Included is a small garden and private roof terrace with a table that seats 6 as well as a barbecue. A lovely private area which is very warm and sheltered. A lower terrace is also included with a table for 4 people. The pool is available by agreement (shared with the owners).
Coast/Beach
We are approximately 1.5 hours away from the nearest beach at Almeria. We have 3 local lakes about 20 minutes drive away, one has several beach areas which are very quiet even in peak season.
Skiing
Skiing at the Sierra Nevada about 1 hour away.

We also run walking and cycling holidays tailored to your needs. As well as offering numerous routes should you wish to venture out on your own, these routes are available for all levels of fitness. We specialize in activity holidays and can offer various activities eg. kayaking on nearby lakes, off roading, climbing, quadbiking. On site massage is also available should you overdo it!
Reiki and Aromatherapy holidays are also available.
