The location of this Mountain Villa is prime. Being at the top of the village the views are spectacular and yet the village shops, bars and restaurants are a mere 2 minute drive away. 4 wonderfully furnished bedrooms, 3 shower rooms, 2 living rooms (1 with a dining area), a fully functional modern kitchen, an incredible south facing terrace with a pagoda and another room with a bike store and gym equipment make up the detached villa. Sky TV, DVD player & Wireless Internet connection all come with the property. This is the perfect base for Mountain Bikers, Walkers, Photographers and those seeking a tranquil and relaxing spot way from the crowds. Trails lead from the house directly into the Sierra Nevada National Park and above to the high summits. During the summer months (July/August) the village pool is open in Valor. The house sits at 3,500 ft in this beautiful area known as Las Alpujarras and can be rented all year round. 2 extra bedrooms can be accessed if required (contact owner).

Changeover day
Changeover day is preferred on a Saturday although we can be flexible if booked in advance.

| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a double bed and en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and en suite shower room. Bedroom 3 has a double bed. Bedroom 4 has twin beds. All rooms have storage facilities. |

| Other: | The terrace is large, south facing, has great views and is partly covered with a pagoda providing a lovely spot to shade from the sun. The upstairs lounge has a spacious dining area with tables and chairs. |

Notes on accommodation
2 log burners provide a great heat during the cooler months, one even has its own bread oven. The accommodation is ideally located for kids as there is no through traffic on the road outside. Toddlers should be watched carefully as the house is tiled throughout and has stairs.

Accessibility
The house is located at the top of the village and has stair access which is not ideal for wheelchair accessability.
Outside
Outside of the house you have access to the Sierra Nevada National Park with a multitude of trails and tracks, perfect for mountain bikers, walkers and nature lovers. There is a lovely water fountain for drinking water right outside the front door.
Coast/Beach
The coast is a 45 mins drive away with the resorts of Adra and Almerimar less than one hour. Almerimar is a lovely resort with its own marina, a great beach and plenty of facilities. Roquetas de Mar is a further 10 mins along the coast and this is a bigger resort which has, amongst other things, a waterpark.

Travel
Almeria airport is the closest airport to the house (1hr 15min), then Granada (1hr 45min), then Malaga (2.5 - 3hrs).
Distances
Valor town with its shops and restaurants is 1 km downhill from the house. The larger town of Ujigar with a bigger selection of shops, bars and restaurants is a 5 mins drive. Almeria city is an hour and 10 min and Granada city with its Alhambra is a one and a half hour drive.
Further details
Valor has two small supermarkets, one with a bakers, seven or eight bars and restaurants, a bank, gift shop, pharmacy, open air swimming pool (July/Aug).
Booking notes
30% deposit to be paid at time of booking, the rest payable by cheque or bank transfer a minimum of 4 weeks prior to arrival.

Our children (and ourselves!) thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The village pool was absolutely fantastic for 3 young kids and the boys enjoyed great mountain biking. Beautiful accommodation.

Hard place to sum up in a few words, the location at the top of the village inspires everytime you admire the view. Feel we've only scratched the surface but had some great walks and discovered a little of the area. Highlights had to be the great mountain biking, a brilliant holiday.
