'La Vista' Spanish for 'The View' has just that; A spectacular view over the village of Lanjaron and the mountains from it's spacious patio. The accommodation consists of a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a fitted kitchen diner with log burner for cold nights. Self contained via an outside staircase a second bedroom. Which can house a double or up to three single beds with an en-suite shower room.

La Rosa is part of the original 200-year-old farmhouse. With it's thick stonewalls to keep cool in the summer and warm for the cold winter nights. The accommodation consists of a large bedroom suitable for a double or 2 single beds with en-suite bathroom. The lounge area has a double sofa bed and antique log burner, open plan onto the kitchen area. The cosy patio for dinning out on has views of Lanjaron and the mountains.

Casita Sierra has been newly restored with local features like hand painted tiles, local pottery, and hand made stained glass window, to feature mountain life. The accommodation consists of a double bedroom, a living kitchen area looking over the large pool and patio area and bathroom with walk in shower. With a private patio and lawn area.

El Jardin has a private and tucked away patio under the shade of olive trees and located close to the pool, bar and barbecue area. It is a large studio, which consists of either one double or two single beds with a single put-you-up. There is a log burner for those cold winter evenings, the kitchen area is fully equipped and has an adjoining full bathroom.

 

Notes on accommodation
All casitas are have log burners for winter heating and are equipped with gas or electric heaters, and for those hot summer days, fans can be supplied.
The kitchens all have gas cookers, refrigerators and are fully equipped.
There is use of a communal washing machine. (Washing products supplied at cost)

Outside
Regular barbecues are arranged. The large barbecue and pool side bar can be used for self catering by arrangement. Portable barbecues supplied for use on private patios. The large shared outdoor pool is open Easter until November. The pool is large and deep; children should be accompanied by adults. Plenty of tables, chairs, sun loungers and shaded areas available on patios and pool side.
The beautiful gardens can be strolled through, sitting on one of the benches with a view of the village and mountains. The grounds consists of many terraces of olive, fruit and nut trees.

Coast/Beach
40 min drive to the nearest coast at Salobrena. Long beaches and promenades. Many beach tapas bars serving traditional seafood dishes.

Golf
Two golf courses; one at the coast at Playa Granada, the other at Granada. Both approximately 40 min drive.

Skiing
At the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort; a beautiful purpose-built village. One hour and a quarter drive.

Special interest holidays
Horseriding, mountain biking, road biking ,wintersports, mountain climbing, hiking/walking.
These can all be arranged from the site, and can be linked to a guide.

Travel
Nearest airport Granada is 40 min drive. Use of car is recommended. Other Airports: Malaga or Almeria both approx. 2 hours drive.

Distances
La Casa Del Viento is 5 min drive from Lanjaron or 15 min walk down by mule track (a little more to come up!!)
The famous Alhambra Palace at Granada is a must (40 min drive).

Further details
Lanjaron is known as the 'Gateway to the Alpujarras' a group of many white villages dotted in the mountains on scenic winding roads. Pampaneira and Capileira for local arts and crafts, and Travelez the highest village in Spain, famous for the curing of the best "Jamon's". Lanjaron which is famous for it's spa waters, where the Balneario offers all kinds of theraputic treatments as well as freely flowing mineral water at various 'fuentes' throughout the town. Lanjaron is a typical Spanish working town, full of local shops and tourist shopping, with banks, tapas bars, restaurants, chemists, and a supermarket. A beautiful walk across the mountain, the town of Orgiva made famous by Chris Stewart author of "Driving Over Lemons".
