Casa Cielo Alto is situated off the Torrox - Competa road high on Mount Torrox surrounded by old olive groves and grape vines giving you breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea, surrounding hillsides and the Sierra Tajeda mountain range with Mount Maroma (the highest point in the sierra Tejeda) straight across. There is an 8x4m pool with large sun terrace where from approx 9am there is uninterrupted sunshine all day until late evening, when you can sit and watch the amazing sunsets, and then with no light pollution, you see a wonderful night sky. This property is totally private and secluded and not overlooked by any other properties. There are 2 bedrooms but it will sleep 6 as there is a double Futon in the lounge. The villa is accessible with any vehicle. The road off the A-7207 up to the property is mainly tarmac which then turns into a good track through old olive groves and vine yards. Please note that this villa is available to none smoking guests only thank you.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the villa per night/week in UK Pounds (not per person). We are happy to take bookings for more or less than the normal Saturday to Saturday week - a daily rate is therefore also available.
Changeover day
Completely flexible so you can take advantage of all available flights. Prefer property to be vacated by 10am on day of departure and ready after 2pm on day of arrival but this again is flexible with enough notice.

Notes on accommodation
Double glazing installed Nov 2008. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms. Bedroom windows can be left open with a fly screen fitted.There are also portable fans for your use. Oil filled heaters are available if required. Cot with bedding available. There is no safety fence around the pool, so children must be supervised at all times. A welcome pack is available if required, payment to be made to our caretakers. We have a very good mobile phone reception at our property so you can still be in contact with friends & family if you wish to. Please note that this villa is available to none smoking guests only thank you.

Accessibility
Property all on one level, but with steps to both entrance doors.
Outside
8x4m pool 1.5m deep with built-in walk in steps and internal lights, for evening swimming. Poolside shower. Lights on the terrace. Patio furniture includes table and chairs, sun loungers, parasols and reclining sun chairs. A newly built chimenea BBQ for alfresco dining. There is also a shaded pergola with roll down blinds.
Coast/Beach
Torrox Costa beaches, restaurants and supermarkets are a 20 min drive away with plenty of free parking. The picturesque village of Nerja is also a 20 mins drive, where there are many beautiful sandy beaches, loads of restaurants and shops plus the world famous Nerja Caves.
Golf
Baviera Golf is an 18 hole course situated at Caleta de Velez 25 mins from villa. Several other Golf courses within the vicinity.
Skiing
1hr 50 mins drive from skiing in Sierra Nevada near Granada.
Travel
You can fly into either Malaga which is 1 hour 10 min drive or Granada which is 1 hour 55 min drive away. It is mostly motorway from both of these airports. Car hire is essential.
Casa Cielo Alto is off the Torrox to Competa road.
Distances
In addition to Torrox and Nerja, you can visit Competa which is a typical Andalucian whitewashed village and only 10 mins drive away inland. Here you can find many good restaurants, bars and shops. You can also go into the Sierra Tajeda national park from Competa with many beautiful walks, where you will very rarely meet anyone else. There is also the abandoned village of El Acebuchal (25 mins drive from villa) which is now being restored and has a bar that offers delicious food and tapas.
Further details
There is the AquaVelez Water park and a large covered shopping centre with hypermarket (Eroski) between the two towns of Velez Malaga and Torre del Mar off the E 15 - A 7 motorway junction 272 just 30 minute drive from the villa. There are markets in all the local towns and villages on different days of the week, details of which can be found in the villa. Great bargains to be had! Casa Cielo Alto is a haven for bird watches as many eagles and other birds of prey are regularly seen riding the thermals just above, Sky larks, Hoopoes and Red Legged Grouse also visit. There is a restaurant within 5 mins drive from our villa called the Pavo Rael, turn right at the bottom of our drive, go straight to the bottom of the hill and it is there.
Booking notes
Booking 25% non-refundable deposit on booking, with balance due 4 weeks before departure. A £100 refundable security fee is payable with the balance, to cover breakages, damage, loss of keys etc. Payment to be made by bank transfer, or cheque if far enough ahead.
