Vista Alegre is a country estate of 14.5 acres. The Masia is set amidst a pine forest overlooking our olive grove, almond, fig and pomegranate trees. It is located on the hillside 3-4 minutes drive [20 min. walk] from the town of Ibi. It is an easy 35-40 min. drive from Alicante Airport and coastal beaches can be reached in 30 minutes. We have a south-facing 17m landscaped swimming pool in our grounds with its own Moorish style pool house. Our local town of Ibi is famous for its ice-cream [we think the best in Europe]. Numerous sporting activities are within easy reach. The historic cities of Alcoy and Elche are a short drive away as are many smaller beautiful and interesting towns to visit. We can thoroughly recommend many restaurants in the area and a few that are well worth an extra drive. The town of Ibi has a wonderful daily food market and a very comprehensive street market on Monday’s.

Changeover day
Our preferred changeover day is Saturday. 4pm arrival. 10am departure.
Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning and heating in both apartments. Children [on the recommendation of our grandchildren] will ‘absolutely love it’. We recommend looking at our web-site for more info and more photos.
Accessibility
The apartments are not suitable for wheelchair users as the access is by stairs only.
Outside
Swimming pool is 17x5m [shared between the apartments]. Pool loungers. There is a toilet and shower room in the pool house. Barbecue area and seating area.
Freedom to roam through the pine forest and olive grove and the dry river bed.
Coast/Beach
The beach at Alicante is 35 mins drive away and surprisingly for a large City it is a beautiful clean beach with good facilities. Our favourite is 45 mins away at the resort of Campello - this is a wonderful stretch of flat, clean sandy beach which is never - even in high summer - crowded. It has many good restaurants, bars, cafes and ice-cream parlours on the promenade.
Golf
Two golf courses within 40 mins drive further details will be supplied shortly.
Travel
Alicante airport is 40 mins drive/45km/27 miles, it is served by many of the low cost airlines. It gives a wide choice of car hire companies and we would say car hire is essential.
Distances
Ibi our local town is only 1km away. Alcoy is 10km.
Further details
Ibi is a thriving town and has many branches of all the Spanish banks, 4 large supermarkets, many central streets with numerous interesting shops of all kinds. The town is a centre of the Toy Industry and has its own Toy Museum. It has the only Monument to The Three Kings anywhere in the world and this is the centrepiece of their Christmas and New Year festivities. The town has a large indoor Leisure Centre and an Outdoor Riding School. We are situated along the beautiful scenic route between Ibi and Alcoy in the Vinalopo Region with views of the Parc Natural del Carrascar de la Font Roja. We highly recommend the walks in the Parc from beginner’s level to the more challenging trails. The City of Palms which is Elche is only approx 50 min drive away and is a sight any visitor to the region should not miss. Information on all the above is provided in a House Information Book in each apartment.
Booking notes
A rental deposit of £1000 and a refundable security deposit of £350 must be paid at the time of booking. The balance is payable eight weeks prior to the start of the rental period [low season charges will be adjusted]. Payment method - by cheque drawn on UK bank.
