Our apartment
|

Our well-equipped and fully furnished apartment contains three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two small balconies. There is a good-sized shared swimming pool (open in the summer months). The apartment benefits by having both air-conditioning (welcome in the hot days of summer!) and central heating (for the cooler winter evenings!) It can comfortably accommodate six people. There is a modern kitchen and separate lounge/dining room. The apartment is on the second (top) floor of a modern apartment block (with lift) with ample restaurants, shops and bars within easy walking distance. The award winning Blue Flag beach is less than 700 meters away, about 10 minutes walk, while the charming fishing port, Nautical Club and marina are even nearer.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is located in Gandia, a pleasant town at the Northern tip of the Costa Blanca (the Costa del Azahar). Gandia is surrounded by stunning scenery of mountains and orange groves on one side, and the warm Mediterranean sea on the other. Benidorm and the famous Terra Mitica theme park are just over half an hour's drive away, and Alicante just over an hour. The apartment is only a short walk from a variety of street cafes and restaurants. A range of night-life can be found within 15 minutes walk. The apartment itself is, however, in a quiet residential area. Gandia is very much a "Spanish" resort and there are not many British or other foreigners staying there. Most of our neighbours are Spanish and all the bars and restaurants are Spanish owned. Many people love this aspect of Gandia, but if you prefer holidays where there are other British people and British-run bars, this apartment is not for you.

Accessibility
Gandia is a "flat" resort. No hills. The entrance to the apartment block does have a few steps before you reach the (small) lift.
Outside
The entrance to the apartment block is from a small residential street just off one of the main streets in Gandia Playa (near the post office). A supermarket, bars, and restaurants are a few minutes walk. The apartment itself is, however, is in a quiet residential area.
Coast/Beach
The award winning Blue Flag beach is less than 700 meters away, about 10 minutes walk, while the charming fishing port, Nautical Club and marina are even nearer. The beach is several kilometers of golden sand. Busy in July and August. There are beach bars/cafes, sunbeds for hire, etc.
Golf
The excellent golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros, in Oliva Nova, is about 20 minutes drive from the apartment.
Travel
Only 2 km away is the bustling modern cosmopolitan city of Gandia itself, where you can buy almost anything in the wide range of shops both large and small. A regular bus route runs from the beach area near the apartment to the city centre and train station. Trains run from here to Valencia and beyond.
Distances
Airports: 90 mins drive from Alicante airport (125 km) and 55 minutes from Valencia airport (75 km).

Couples or family groups preferred. We can normally take a provisional booking for a few days while you make travel arrangements. Payment in full is required to secure the property.
