Notes on prices
Please do not be put off by our cheap prices in 2013, our cottages are a pleasure for us rather than a business and we want to give you the opportunity of experiencing our little peice of heaven. A complimentary pack, WIFI are included in the price. You can stay for longer or shorter. Our changeover day is totally flexible. Reductions for long lets. If the 1 bed cottage is booked, then enquire about the 3 bed cottage at the 1 bed price. Weekly bedding change is available at 8 euros per bed.
Changeover day
Flexible. Checking in/out times depend on if we have guests staying before or after you. If so, your belongings can be kept safe for you. As a guide, checkin is usually around 3.30pm and checkout around 11am.
Notes on accommodation
Our holiday cottages are very flexible and designed to cater for families, couples or groups. The apartments have a washing machine, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and have Sky TV and DVD Player. Free Wifi wireless internet access. Ceiling fans throughout and heating in the winter months. Fly netting on all windows and doors. Travel cot and toys available at no extra cost. BBQ and shaded pergola area and ample parking.

Inside the cottages and on the patio area it is all one level, there are three steps down to the garden and a further four to the car park.
Outside
Pool with underwater lighting (3.7m x 3.7m x 1m deep - Safe for children and elderly). Fenced garden with swings, slide, swing ball, barbecue. Small animals to pet and feed including, dwarf goats, chickens, ducks, peacock, tortoises, dogs, cats, guinea pigs etc in safe enclosure. The owners look after the animals but you can pet and feed them if you wish. Off road parking. Ideal for families who want their children to be happy, entertained and safe whilst the parents relax. Great for people who like walking in the beautiful countryside with spectacular wildlife. If you bring your own laptop you can enjoy surfing the net or working outside in the sunshine. Ample parking should you wish a break from staying in your motor home. Fantastic landscape for photographers and artists.
Coast/Beach
15 minutes drive to the brilliant beaches, bars and restuarants at San Juan de Los Terreros. 25 mins to Aguilas, 35 minutes to Mojacar and Garrucha, Vera.
Golf
Our closest course is 15 minutes away called the Mundo Aguilon near San Juan de Los Terreros. There are many more golf courses within 30 to 45 minutes drive. Valle del Este, Desert Springs, Marina Playa Mojacar, Cortijo el Grande, Mundo Aguilon at San Juan de los Terreros. We can provide a taxi service for a small fee. Skiing
Two hours to the Sierra Nevada for great skiing.
Special interest holidays
There are two horse riding stables locally, one just a five minute drive, the second approx a 20min drive. Both are Spanish owned. How to get there
Almeria airport is about an hours drive away. Murcia San Javier about 70 minutes drive and Alicante 90 minutes drive. www.carjet.com seem very good for car hire. The airlines with cheap flights to Almeria, Murcia and Alicante airports include Ryanair, British Airways, Easyjet, Flybe, Jet2, Monarch, Skyscanner, BMIbaby, Airberlin, Thomsonfly.
Distances
5 minutes drive to nearest village with shops, restaurants and cafes. 10 minutes to main towns with all facilities eg Huércal-Overa and Pulpi.

In the cottages we provide maps, brochures and lots of information about things to do in the area. Excellent hospital 15 mins drive away. Numerous family orientated inexpensive bars, restaurants and Spanish tapas bars to appeal to all tastes etc within 10 minutes drive. Olympic Size open-air swimming pool in Huércal-Overa (summer only). Numerous local festivals, fiestas and Carnivals throughout the year - Ask for details.
Booking notes
25% sterling deposit required to secure your booking. The remaining 75% is to be paid upon arrival in EUROS with a 100€ refundable security deposit.

Thanks for a wonderful holiday! It might possibly the most beautiful desert vistas we have witnessed & the reddest summer sky of all our European travels. Anna & Andy are the most wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to create brilliant moments and recommendations that are hard to forget! We were given watermellon and learnt the lye of the land so that we soon came to love it! About the owner
My husband, Andy and I and our four children and various animals have lived in Spain for 8 years and love every minute. We have an estate agency in Huércal-Overa called VossHomes and I manage the rental properties whilst my husband manages the sales, and our daughter works with us too. Our other three children go to the local Spanish schools. We also now have a little grandson who is beautiful!

Why the owner chose property in this location
We wanted to buy a property in this area because Huércal-Overa is less spoilt and more "Spanish" than other areas. It is also the biggest town in Almeria province next to the city itself, therefore it has better facilities nearby including the variety of shops, twice a week market, bars & restaurants and of course, the award winning hospital. We just love the sociable, relaxed way of life here, but we are close to the beaches and the ´british resorts´as and when we want to visit them. There are also a variety of infant, junior and secondary schools for the young ones, plus various after school activities. For the more mature, there are a number of groups, clubs, social nights out to get involved with.
Unique benefits of the property
Apart from all the benefits below we just want to offer our guests a value for money, clean, friendly relaxing environment to enjoy their holiday whether as a couple or extended family. We like to be able have peace and quiet, but still have plenty to do and the children can play safely. Our petting animals are great fun and educational. Because we are a one km off the main road we do not have to worry about traffic and we can go for walks and bike rides. The holiday homes have all the mod cons of well equipped kitchens, baths, showers, Sky, wifi internet, hifi, DVD player with various films & inside and outside games. It is only a 15 minute drive to the beach, so it is nearby but we do not have the noise, stress and cost that seaside accommodation often has.
