Welcome to our home. As well as offering you the opportunity to stay in superb accommodation here in Chiclana de la Frontera, we aim to give you a personal taste of this magical part of Spain. From sherry, Flamenco and dancing horses to fabulous beaches, never ending pine forests and beautiful cities - we have it all. Our small friendly complex has a very relaxed atmosphere and welcomes people from all walks of life. The Huerta Montero residence is located in a peaceful, semi rural area amongst the pine trees of Rana Verde, between the beaches of Barrosa and Chiclana town on a plot 1200 sq.m. There are three totally independent unique letting units which makes it ideal for small groups or larger groups, and families. The choice is yours, accommodation only (self catering), bed and breakfast, or join us for one of our themed inclusive breaks. With our previous catering and retail experience we will be sure to make your stay in the Costa de la Luz memorable, for all the right reasons.

Changeover day
Arrival times are usually 3pm onwards departure times 10.00am (we can hold luggage for you). During the summer months we prefer Saturday changeover days, however we do try to be flexible whenever possible.
Notes on accommodation
Due to the pool area not being fenced off we ask you to consider suitability for small children and non-swimmers. Although we insist on no smoking inside the properties, smoking is permitted to in outside areas.
Included: Generous welcome pack. Bottle local wine and beer. Bathroom and bed linen provided. Beach towels available on request. Property is cleaned between rentals. Hairdryers provided. Selection books, DVDs, board games. We also supply a basic supply of cleaning products in every property.
Extras: Daily cleaning service available on request. Laundry service. Baby sitting service. Picnic hampers. Cooked English or continental breakfasts. Also available for purchase essentials such as milk, bread, etc just in case you run out.
Book our fantastic value beach package. Towels, reclinable beach chairs, cooler boxes. Umbrellas. Sorry no cats but other small pets considered. For winter lets we also provide wood for the log burners to keep you cosy.
Accessibility
The Courtyard and Chalet apartment are suitable for wheelchair access and we are willing to help and discuss special requirements for disabled persons. Please contact us if you wish to holiday here but are receiving permanant medical treatment and/or need to visit a hospital on a regular basis as we may be able to organise this for you.
Outside
Entrance to the property is through a remote controlled gate. There is also a coded sidegate so there is no need to carry lots of keys about. All the accommodation is set within a private and secure walled garden with its own 9m x 4m rustic style swimming pool and outdoor shower.
Mature gardens have beautiful bougainvilleas, palms, and of course pine trees, which offer shade and help keep cool in the hot summer months. The fruit trees, herbs and tomatoes grown on site are used in our cooking and guests are welcome to help themselves.
There is plenty of outside space with tables and chairs to seat 15, outside built BBQ cooking area with a sink, umbrella and range of loungers are provided. Sunny and shaded seating areas.
Coast/Beach
Here on the Atlantic coast we have some of the most amazing and unspoilt beaches of Spain. The sea here is warmed by the Gulf Stream so it is pleasant to swim in all year round. Being tidal, the beaches are fresh, clean, and La Barrosa retains the Blue Flag award year after year. Its coastline and facilities make it a top quality location. Other beaches include Sancti Petri, Fontanilla, Calas of Roche and further along the coast towards Conil there are many more.
Golf
If you enjoy a game of golf then you are spoilt for choice. There is a 36 hole golf course (designed by Seve Balisteros) plus a driving range 5 mins away. Golf melia and golf loma both 18 hole courses are 10 min drive and club de golf campano 7 mins drive. The province of Cadiz is now a mecca for golfers, despite being a newcomer to the sport. The fact that the province’s golf courses have not been in existence for very long has not stopped it becoming one of Europe’s best golfing destinations. Nearly twenty Cadiz golf courses have made history despite their newness, and nowadays thousands of golfers visit the province to play on the courses favoured by the greatest. Severiano Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Tiger Woods, Colin Montgomerie, Olazabal, Sergio García... The biggest names in golf have left unforgettable memories on these courses in southern Andalucía. Our aim is to provide you with quality accommodation, first class service, and if you do not wish to drive we will take you to explore the surrounding areas with personalised tours in our own comfortable vehicles. Angela speaks Italian and Spanish and has a good knowledge of the area. All the following activities can all be arranged on your behalf. Walking, cycling, golf, mountain biking, wind-surfing, fishing, diving, sailing, swimming, golf, tennis, horse riding through the pine forest or beach, quad biking. We also organise a number of themed breaks which include the Feria de caballo, Formula one and the Moto GP as well as painting breaks. New for 2010 we are offering getaway Christmas breaks for adults only. Special Spanish themed evening meals including paella cooked at your table by our very own Marie Carmen.
Travel
Jerez Airport 40 minutes. Sevilla Airport 1 hour 40. Malaga Airport 2hrs 30. Gibraltar Airport 1 hour 30. Car hire recommended, however, we also operate a private transport service and are available for tours and visits to nearby tourist attractions. Example of airport transfer from Jerez airport. 120 euros return. Local taxis would cost 70/75 each way for 4 passengers and luggage. We can also take away the worry and offer great prices on our very own car hire which may include pick up.

The properties are close to all local amenities including shops, bars, restaurants, tennis and horse riding. Chiclana town centre 4km. Amazing sandy beaches nearby. 4kms to Chiclana town centre with all amenities including restaurants, shops and markets. Supermarket 1.5km. Beach 5kms. Nearest supermarket 1.5km. Supersol and a Mercadona. Nearest Venta 1km. Nearest commercial centre of Bahia Sur San Fernando 12km. There is a pharmacy nearby plus a medical centre in Chiclana Town.

The ‘Costa de la Luz’ (the Coast of Light) is just becoming acknowledged as one of southern Spain’s finest cultural and tourist destinations. This part of Andalusia has a rich cultural and historical heritage and a magnificently diverse landscape. The town of Chiclana, which is a typical Andalucian town with narrow streets and flower filled courtyards, has much to offer with its architecture, restaurants, shops and the local daily market has an amazing variety of fruit, vegetables, fish and meat stalls. The main pedestrian centre around the town hall is bustling with shoppers and visitors all year round. There are also some amazing sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast where you can spend a fantastic holiday and there are many more wonderful secluded coves just waiting to be explored. We have some of the best beaches in Spain, La Barrosa retains the Blue Flag award year after year, and its coastline and facilities make it a top quality location for year round sports and leisure activities. There are a number of interesting monuments, bodegas and museums to visit in Chiclana or if you are lucky, you may just be here during one of the many fiestas held throughout the year. Booking notes
A deposit is required to secure your booking as soon as possible which will also include a fully refundable damage deposit. Balance of payment (all bank charges to be paid by client) is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. If the property is booked within 8 weeks prior to arrival, the full amount is due immediately. We recommend you have sufficient travel insurance to cover you for any eventuality.

About the owner
Originally from Norfolk, we (Paul and Angie) travelled throughout Spain looking for that ideal holiday home. We eventually found a wonderful property on the Costa de la Luz which we developed into a fantastic holiday residence. We then found a superb apartment on Mijas golf course on the Costa del Sol. Sitio del golf is perfectly located for golfing enthusiasts, however when the opportunity arrived to make the big move, we opted for Chiclana. In the past 6 years we have have offered super holidays in fantastic accommodation to all kinds of people wishing to explore this part of Spain. We have met some wonderful people and made some good friends. We are now expanding and are able to offer other fantastic rental properties on behalf of owners which are also advertised on this site.

Why the owner chose a mobile home in this location
The area know as Rana Verde used to be a pine forest with large farming plots. It is situated in an ideal location between the beaches of La Barossa and the town of Chiclana. The owner, Juan Montero had spent most of his life producing fresh fruit and vegetables from his garden, as well as producing eggs, wine, sweets and much more which he sold to local people however now 80 years old, he had decided it was time to sell up and enjoy his retirement. Although the finca was run down and needed lots of TLC we realised the potential so we imported a mobile home and lived there whilst we renovated. After just over one year we completed the courtyard and chalet apartments, built the pool, landscaped the gardens and welcomed our first guests. We have never looked back.

Our summers are usually very busy and our winters are peaceful. As we live on site our guests benefit from our knowledge of the surrounding area and facilities this wonderful coast has to offer. The other advantage is that we are here if any help is required during our guests stay, whether it be a short holiday break or a longer winter break. We hope to offer you a completely different holiday experience.
