With a 5 minute walk down to Burriana Beach and the restaurants on the sand, Valparaiso is a great place to enjoy Nerja and the lovely places nearby. You can see from the pictures the views of the mountains behind the apartment and the sea views and people return year after year to this friendly, airy and originally decorated apartment.

Bedrooms: The main bedroom has its own balcony with stunning views to the sea and towards Nerja. It is light, airy and modern with plenty of storage.
Bedroom 2 is a good size with two single beds and again plenty of storage.
Bathrooms: The bathroom is a good size, with a bath, shower, bidet and wc.
Kitchen: The well equipped kitchen looks into the kitchen and has a cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and modern utensils and there is a washing machine on the terrace.
Living Rooms: The living room is decorated in an original style which creates the apartment's very unique character. A good size, with 2 sets of patio doors leading onto the large terrace, modern comfortable furniture, TV, CD player and Sky (UK channels).
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen and towels are included and changed once a week - apart from long term lets, where tenants can handle their own linen from our linen store or pay a fee for additional changes.

 

Notes on accommodation
Ideal for a young family, the terrace is quite safe and the second pool is a paddling pool. Within the development are many Spanish residents, the area is very attractive and residential with a mixture of mature villas and sensitively developed urbanisations. Although the beach, bars and restaurants are 5 minutes walk away they do not spoil the tranquility of the area.

Accessibility
There is parking outside on the road and a wheel chair ramp access to the front door and a lift. Some provision may be required in connection with access through the lounge patio doors to the terrace, via a temporary ramp, but this can be arranged. However the shower is integral to the bath and so needs to be considered.

Outside
There are lovely mature gardens around the pool area and most of the year beautiful flowers.
Most of your leisure time will probably be on the terrace, where there are lounger chairs, table and chairs for four and a sun canopy.

Coast/Beach
5 minute walk down to Burriana Beach and the restaurants on the sand.
Nerja has several beaches, Burriana being the biggest. There's a lovely drive to La Herrudura via the beautiful National Park coastal road, or to get there faster, use the new motorway extension, which will one day go all the way to Granada. It is very different to Nerja and with some great restaurants on the beach.
We love the little restaurants on the sand - just before Torrox Pueblo - a few minutes drive out of Nerja.

Golf
Baviara Golf is about 20 minutes away and other courses a bit further, ask us for details if this of particular interest. There are tennis courts 3 minutes away by car.

Special interest holidays
We have contacts with walking trip organisers and easily arranged tours can be booked with agents in the town. Trips to Granada and the Alhambra - a must. A day trip to Gibraltar and very nearby are the amazing Nerja Caves.
On Thursdays you can get the local bus from the bus station to go to the market in Frigiliana, one of the white mountain towns, and the Nerja market is held on a Tuesday.

Travel
Malaga airport is 6 kms from Malaga city and 50km (45 miles to Nerja, mainly down the motorway by car) and a very straightforward journey to Nerja. On leaving the airport keep in the right hand lane and take the E340 towards Motril, which brings you to the Nerja exit, from there we will supply easy directions on how to find Valaparaiso.
A car will certainly enhance your visit to Nerja, but it is not essential to enjoy your holiday.

Distances
15 minute walk to Nerja centre and Burriana beach is a few minutes walk down a pretty hill, which is why our views are so stunning. We are a 10 minute walk, 3 minutes by car, to a good national chain supermarket and a few minutes walk away at Burriana is also a local supermarket, well stocked and its here where you'll find numerous restaurants and bars - none of which ever seem to attract noisy behaviour and are frequented by the Spanish as much as visitors to Nerja.

Further details
In central Nerja, there are lots of banks and cash points and excellent shops. The town is unspoilt and the local people and businesses have prospered through tourism, but still retain their friendly manner and warm welcome. The Balcon is at the heart of the town and ideal for a drink and a stroll and great way to see life in Nerja go by.
People tend to come back to Nerja, year after year, especially as the climate is ideal for a long winter break.

Booking notes
Payment may be in sterling or in euros.
A booking form is available on request and a 25% deposit is required to secure a booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before departure.
A £50 returnable deposit will be charged against key return and breakages.
Discounts may be available for bookings over 2 weeks and daily rates are on application, with linen and towels charged separately.
Long lets will also be considered.
