Accessibility
Villajoyosa is a 35 minute drive south from Alicante airport with a rental car. There is free parking at the front of the town wall, facing the beach. From here there is short walk up to the apartment, which can also be accesses from the main road. There are buses from the airport in Alicante to Villajoyosa and the train runs regularly between the town and Alicante city depending on the season. Taxis are fairly cheap as an alternative. Further, Benidorm is a 20min drive North.
Outside
Large roof terrace with amazing ocean views, including barbecue area and sink for food preparation, table and chairs, and new washing machine.
Coast/Beach
The ocean can be seen from the roof terrace as well as the rooms facing the river. The beach is long, clean and never very busy. Sunbeds and parasols can be leased, or one can simply lie on the white, pure sand. The beach is cleaned everyday and refurbishments have recently been made to ensure visitors can enjoy modern facilities. Wheelchair access to some parts, volleyball nets, play area for children.
Golf
Plenty of golf courses in close proximity for all you golf lovers.
Travel
The nearest airport is in Alicante, which lies 37km south of Villajoyosa. Car hire is cheap and recommended as the airport shuttle buses are not very frequent. This depends on the season. There are plenty of hire companies at the airport. The roads have been greatly improved in the past year allowing for safe and timely driving.

Alicante - 37km south/35min drive. Valencia - 132km north/1h 20min drive. Benidorm - 14km north/20min drive.
Further details
There's plenty of great restaurants both on the beach and up in town, serving traditional food, as well as world cuisine. With the fishing vessels docking at the marina a 10 minute walk away, seafood is of excellent quality. Worth visiting is the Valor Chocolate Factory in town. Valor has been producing since 1881 and is the largest chocolate producer in Spain. Free samples when visiting! Valor also has its own chocolate café on the main road in town. Villajoyosa offers great walking tracks along the beach and in the hills, and there are plenty of historical sights around and places to go for adventure seekers. On a rainy day why not catch the train to La Marina, a large and modern shopping centre 3 stops away. Houses Spanish brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti and Mango at a very affordable price compared to the UK. There is also an arcade with games, jumping castles, bowling, and cinema. Benidorm offers a great nightlife with plenty of bars and clubs.
