After just a 10 minute drive from Alicante Airport, this apartment is the perfect housing for whatever you want to get out of your holiday. Whether it be the modern Alicante Centre with its designer shops and breathtaking Marina, or traditional Santa Pola with its ancient castle and authentic Spanish Cafés. Soaking up the sun on the nearby beach or taking a few lengths at the nearest pool. Perhaps a few sangria’s around the local bars, or some fresh seafood from the nearby restaurants. Fancy venturing a tad further? Perhaps buzzing Benidorm takes your fancy. Or the huge Terra Mitica Theme Park?! And for thrill seekers why not try some local Scuba Diving, or even Paragliding? After a hard days sightseeing take a relaxing lay down on the sun lounger on the large roof terrace and watch the sun across Alicante town. All this and much more is but a walk, drive or bus away.

Changeover day
If a changeover day is the same day for different holiday makers arriving/departing then vacating the property will need to be by midday so that the apartment can be cleaned and beds stripped ready for new arrivals.

Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Washing of bedlinen, towels and cleaning is done on departure. Throughout your stay please empty rubbish to avoid flies even on your last day. Towels are provided for internal use only.

Notes on accommodation
The front facing balcony can be a room in itself when the sliding windows are closed, or can provide a cooling breeze on hot days if opened. Both bedrooms and lounge have ceiling fans and roll up shutters on each window. Security grills are on front door, patio door and kitchen window.

Accessibility
No lift. This is a duplex. Not suitable for disabled as there is no wheelchair access.

Outside
The communal pools open from 10am to 10pm daily, the nearest being a 30 second walk away, and have lifeguards on duty in the busy months. There is a nearby children’s play area with swings, slides and climbing frames. The local bus provides transport into Alicante and Santa Pola, as well as a quick ride to the beach or supermarkets. There is also a local doctors, car hire company and internet café, and the local sightseeing train, which runs till late and stops at various places so you can either stay on for the whole journey or get off look around and get on again when it passes the stop nearest to you. Street parking is available outside the apartment.

Coast/Beach
Carabassi, the nearest blue flagged beach, is but a 2 minute drive or a 10-15 minute walk away. There is also a bus service. Here you can chill out at the Carabassi beach where there is a snack bar selling everything or take an adventurous walk along the coast into Santa Polo. Both Alicante and Santa Pola both have spectacular beaches, ranging from small and quiet to large and busy depending on the season. Both beaches from their main town centres will take less than a minute to walk to.

Golf
For golf enthusiasts There are six golf courses within 40mins drive from our apartment, all excellent challenging courses. Driving causes little problem in the region with a good network of roads in excellent condition.
It has been approved planning permission for a golf course even closer, watch this space for details.

Travel
Alicante Airport is approximately a 10 minute drive from the apartment.
Car hire is not essential to get around the area as there is a good local bus service and plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants all within a short walk. The nearest supermarket is 2 minutes away and the beach a 10-15 minute walk. There is also a Life Resort straight up from Dunbars there is a restaurant and supermarket with other shops nearby

Distances
Alicante Town 15-20 minute drive/bus. Numerous designer shops, bars, restaurants, clubs, and the contemporary marina and Historical Castle. Santa Pola 10 minute drive/bus away. Traditional café’s and bars, large Spanish market Mon/Sat 8-2pm, Historical Castle and quiet beaches. Elche 15 minute drive. Large Safari Park. Guardamar 25 minute drive. Very traditional Spanish town. Benidorm 25-30 minutes drive. Buzzing nightlife with huge clubs and bars. Famous Terra Mitica Theme Park and Aqualandia.

Further details
Within a 5 minute walk of the apartment you will find a supermarket, bank, car rental shop, internet cafés, doctors, DIY and home Stores. There is a local market 5 minutes away on a Thursday 8-2pm first right at the roundabout and you will find it straight down, and the large Santa Pola market on Saturday's and Monday's from 8am-2pm. The local bars and restaurants vary from typically Spanish to Italian, Chinese, Indian and more. There are even friendly local English and Irish Bars. I recommend visiting the famous Cocoa Bar for some tasty food especially the pizza which is from the apartment road turn right up the road on the left, and extravagant cocktails, only a 5 minute walk away! For a perfect day out why not take a trip to Tabarca Island on a glass bottomed boat! Tabarca has been declared a reserve and is only 3 miles from Cape. And to be in the water instead of above it, why not try your hand at Scuba diving at the local Gran Scuba in Santa Pola. Here you can do day dives and complete a PADI course. There is a very healthy all year round climate with over 300 sunshine days a year making the area excellent to visit in the off-peak season, so you can keep topping the tan up for a nice colour through winter months. Inland from Santa Pola is Elche with its numerous palm gardens and shoe factory outlets.
Further down the coast is La Marina,Guardamar and Torrevieja all excellent resorts with clean safe beaches
To the north is Alicante itself which is a very busy shopping centre and lively port with many bars and restaurants
A little further up the coast again is Villajoyosa with its colourful fishermans cottages.

Booking notes
A refundable reservation/ lost keys and damage fee of £100 is required to secure your dates. Then 8 weeks prior to departure the rental balance is required. £100 will be refunded upon satisfactory inspection and return of the keys by our Property Manager within 14 days. Flight details, names and ages of children are required. For exceptionally longer stays please enquire for further information and for Christmas and New Year.

About the owner
I am a friendly understanding person who likes holidays and socializing especially in Spain when its so nice just to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. I enjoy eating out, reading, beach time. Cinema and watching TV on a cold horrible night. I have a variety of friends of all ages and get on with everybody. I have a grown up son a a little dog who I love and hate it when I hear people being cruel to animals. I have learnt Spanish and now can get by when there but have to keep practising as its easy to forget. I like going to other sunny places to see different cultures.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I chose to buy an apartment in Spain for holidays/retirement and being close to the airport so does not cost a lot in taxi fare. Also its near all amenities and the beach.

Unique benefits of the property
Its so easy to get anywhere from the apartment with buses just down the road you can go into Alicante or Santa Pola towns for another great time. There is is the local site seeing road train which is very cheap to use and you can get on and off where you like. Since going there I have now made several friends and love every moment I am there.
