Outside
Outside there is a big roof terrace with a built-in BBQ and pull back canopy for shade. There is a large patio set with 6 chairs. Great views of the village and the sea.
Coast/Beach
The house is 2 mins walk from the lovely unspoiled beach, play park for the children, cafes and restaurants. There is a wide range of beaches on the Costa Tropical including La Mamola (10 mins), Adra (20 mins), Calahonda (20 mins) Torrenueva (25 mins).
Golf
There are a number of excellent courses in the area including Almerimar, La Envia, Playa Serena, Cortijo Grande and Los Moriscos. The pick of the bunch is Almerimar where golfers can enjoy a course of wide fairways, with a profusion of trees and plants which afford plenty of shade and at the same time, serve as natural hazards, protecting the fast greens.
Skiing
The beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range is close to Granada and a worthwhile few days away combining skiing with the magnificent sights of this historic city.
Travel
Easy access to the following Airports: Almeria - an hours drive. Granada - an hours drive. Malaga - an hour and a half drive. Car hire is recommended, as taxi transfers from the airports can be costly. The bus can be caught from all 3 airports to Castel De Ferro, (then a two minute walk to house). I do not know how long the journey by bus takes.
Distances
Motril is the nearest large town (20 mins) and has a lovely beach, promenade and local facilities including weekly market. El Ejido is 25 mins away and has larger retail outlets. Roquetas de Mar (45 mins) has a water park, beach, wide range of restaurants and large superstores. A day trip to Granada (1 hour) is highly recommended as is a visit to Nerja (1 hour) a beautiful village with historic caves.

Castel has a number of small local shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and 24 hour health centre.
