| The fully restored character cottage has a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room. The fully fitted kitchen includes an electric oven and hob with extractor fan, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and toaster. There is also an iron and ironing board.There is a log burner, dining table, settee, CD player and a selection of book and board games. Seperate lounge with two settees and satellite TV. Bathroom with shower over bath, basin and toilet. Downstairs bedroom with bunkbeds sleeping two. Upstairs twin bedroom. | |
Notes on accommodation
All linen, blankets and towels are provided (with the exception of beach/swimming towels. Mobile heaters are provided for cosy winter lets. Non smoking accommodation.
Outside
The farmhouse has a terrace with gas barbecue and stunning views of the lake and village of Iznajar. The vine-covered courtyard is a cool and restful area. The cottage has a large terrace with gas barbecue and stunning views of the lake. The swimming pool area, also with panoramic lake views, has a 8m x 4m saline/salt pool which ranges from 1m to 1.5m in depth and has underwater lighting. It has roman steps at one end for easy access. There are terrace lights for swimming at night under the stars! The terrace has sun loungers, barbecue, outside shower and an al fresco dining area.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is on beautiful Lake Iznajar which is a 15 minute drive right onto the beach. There is a bar restaurant, barbecue facilities and watersports. The main coastal resorts are an hour away.
Golf
The nearest golf course is at the historic town of Antequerra which is half an hour away.The newly designed course by Jose Maria Canizares is challenging to all levels of golfer. There is also a swimming pool, spa, tennis courts and restaurant. Enjoy first class facilities and stunning scenery without the coastal crowds!
Skiing
Skiing during the winter months on the beautiful Sierra Nevada is about one and a half hours away.The houses have log burners and electric blankets for those cosy winter lets.
Travel
The nearest airport is Malaga which is a 50 minute drive. Flights are also now available from Stansted to Granada. Car hire is essential.
Distances
Granada is just under an hour, Cordoba one and a half hours, Seville two hours. The dramatic landscape of El Torcal near Antequerra is half an hour.
Further details
The local shop and bar/restaurant are a 5 mins drive. There are a full range of facilities in Iznajar 15 mins drive. Fishing is available at the lake. Horseriding is a 10 mins drive away. The area is wonderful for walking and bird watching.
Booking notes
If you would like to book, we can hold the accommodation for a limited period, whilst you arrange flights. Once you have confirmed we ask for a 20% deposit and the remainder of the payment eight weeks before departure. A fully refundable security deposit of £200 is required.
