The accommodation consists of the entire first floor, within a detached villa. It has a gated entrance from the lane, with its own private patio terrace, and has views of the surrounding farmland and olive groves. with views of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the distance. Also we have a private pool available for use by guests, together with a small poolside bar retailing drinks and snack foods. The villa is a detached property, with ample sun terraces and a garden areas. It is located 15 mins walk from a traditional farming village of Cuevas Del Campo. This area has many stunning views. Amongst many things to do are, walking or mountainbiking in the olive groves, visit the nearby natural hot mineral thermal baths. Trip to the coast, visit the Alhambra Palace, Exploring the area, or just lazing by the pool. Note: Want to see the sights ??? We can offer you excursions to Granada, Beaches, Alhambra Palace, plus many more villages and stunning areas.

Changeover day
We have no changeover day and are flexible.
Access to the rooms is from 2pm on day of arrival and vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
Baggage may be stored with us outside these times.

Towels and linen are included, the towels and bedding are changed weekly, The property is cleaned by us on a weekly basis. Remember - we are also on hand to deal with any problems or concerns you might have. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa has good quality furniture, fixtures and fittings lending itself to the area in both style and practicability.
Inside the apartment we operate a ''strict'' no smoking policy, for your own comfort, children, and that of future guests, however you may smoke freely outside the accommodation.
During winter heating is by gas heaters and or the use of the hot/cold air conditioning units.
Regrettably due to over sustained use in summer by some guests, in order to keep our fees low, the air conditioning is on a euro coin meter, (average 10 hours for 1 euro) Remember - we are available to deal with any problems or concerns you may have. We want to ensure you get the best from your holiday !
Accessibility
The exists a small series of steps, about 8 up, in order to gain access from the street, and another 8 down to access the garden area. All the rest is on level ground.
Outside
We have ample sun terrace areas. A garden area with seating and a central fountain. There is also a large under cover pergola providing ample shade and seating overlooking the garden. We have a pool of 5m x 4m that is 0.85cm to 2m in depth. We also provide sunloungers and seating in these areas. There is also a downstairs lavatory/changing area in the garden (we do not allow our towels to be used in the garden, lake, and pool areas. We advise you bring your own towels for pool use). Due to cleaning we ''normally'' allow access to our garden and pool after 10am.
Coast/Beach
We are an inland holiday, But if should you require a beach the nearest is that of Mojacar about 2 hrs by car. It has a sandy flat shoreline and all the other amenities to be found on the coasts. Almeria is a little less commercial, but still about 2 hrs by car.
The motorway carries light traffic, and will take you easily into Almeria. As an alternative the lake shore is 15 mins by car.
Golf
There a is rumour of a near by golf course soon to be under construction... but at this time there is nothing local. Nearest is in Granada aprox. 1 hour by car.
Skiing
Skiing in Winter to late Spring is in the Sierra Nevadas (Granada), about 1hr15 mins from us.
Special interest holidays
NEW for 2008, We highly recomend the horse riding in the Castril Valley. We can supply transport to the ranch, There is available a ´Evening Ride Out and BBQ´ As well as riding for the day and half day. Contact us for more details. This area is mainly sought after by those that enjoy, fishing, walking, cycling, painting, wildlife, photography and outdoor life, and generally wanting to ''explore'' the area, and partake in rural Spanish life. The bars here serve a free tapa with beer and wine. A tradition that has died out in many areas but still the custom in Andalucia. If your Venturing out....Or just staying at the Villa, maybe just relaxing with a good book! Simply getting away from it all for a few days to be yourselfe. whatever you want, you will find it here.
Travel
The nearest airport to us is: Granada (50 min by car) with Almeria is to the south, and about 2 hours by car.
Malaga is to the west and is apx just over 2 hours by car.
Alicante is to the north east of us and is approx 2 hour 20 mins by car.
We do operate an airport pick up and return service if required.
Note: To get the most from your holiday a hire car is essential, otherwise your stay will limit you to the immediate area, bars and restaurants of the village.
Distances
Granada is apx 50 mins to an hour by car. It is a historic city that is also home to the Alhambra Palace. Nearest larger town to us is Baza apx 30 mins.
The coasts and beaches apx 2 hours by car.
The lake nearest to us through the village and apx 10-15 mins by car.
Hot water thermal baths and restaurant at Zujar 35mins by car
Gibraltar is also accessible at 5hrs by car.
Most of the roads are motorways and carry light traffic, with everchanging scenery en route is always a pleasure to drive.
Further details
On arrival we supply you with a welcome pack, giving you the facility to have some basics, until you find a supermarket, whatever time you arrive.
The village 10 mins walk, it has many bars and restaurants available. But as you're visiting an inland town, please bear in mind that it is still used to donkeys and tractors, with the slow pace of village life. The tourist industry has not yet reached these unspoilt parts so the food in most restaurants is typical to this region, We recomend you try these typicle Andalucian dishes, but as an alternative almost all supply wood-oven cooked pizza, hamburgers, chips etc.
We have some good restaurants that cater for the more discerning nearby, and offer dishes such as roast lamb in herbs, fillet steaks, Local fish etc.
The village has 2 banks, a small supermarket, doctors, dentists, pharmacy, and some shops, but not widely catering for the tourists gift wise.
Mastercard and Visa are accepted by the larger stores.
Down by the lakeside, the are two areas of shoreline, with one dedicated to the naturist, this area is well secluded.
There are many different things to do, and we have prepared a folder detailing these with roadmaps etc.
We also have a bicycles that are free for guest use. A small returnable deposit is made for each cycle.
Booking notes
To book your holiday with us:
Firstly please contact us to check availability. We then require a 20% deposit and a ''returnable'' security access of £50 to be paid to our UK account by bank transfer, or by cheque within the UK Your money will be receipted from Spain and your booking will be then accepted by us once your funds have cleared. The balance will be due via the same method 8 weeks before your holiday commences.
After your stay we will ''refund'' your excess to you in UK Pounds.
