The Townhouse will sleep 6 people and has the benefit of a swimming pool opposite the outside dining area. Locally there are plenty of supermarkets and excellent choice of restaurants. Outside activities including; golf, sailing, windsurfing and an Aqua Park are all close to hand.

Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Letting is normally done on a Saturday/Saturday basis, but we can be flexible out of normal school term times.

Changeover day
Saturday is the main changeover day (but we can be flexible outside the main school holidays) and we ask that you vacate by 10.00am. The house is normally clean and ready for you by 16.00 pm. If you arrive earlier you can leave your bags downstairs.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 overlooking the pool has double bed and ample built in wardrobe space. Bedroom 2 has a couple of single beds and again wardrobe space. Double sofa bed in lounge. All rooms have ceiling fans. Safe facility for your usage.
Bathrooms: Tiled bathroom with shower, W.C and bidet plus hand basin. Power point for shavers. Downstairs cloakroom with W.C and basin.
Kitchen: Electric oven with 4 hobs. Fridge/freezer and washing machine plus microwave. Ample crockery and cooking utensils. Separate eating area with table and chairs for 6.
Utility Room: Outhouse for additional storage and water mains. Numerous children's beach equipment and chairs for your usage.
Living Rooms: Large lounge has two settees (One is a sofa bed)and the benefit of a three speed ceiling fan. Sky satellite with normal terrestrial channels.CD/Radio/tape player. Various tables and lamps. Overlooking pool area.
Other: From the lounge you step down to a tiled outside terrace with an awning. The table will seat 6 people. On the top floor the roof terrace has sun beds and drying facilities plus a shower area. All rooms have pull down or pull across mosquito netting.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Property cleaned before arrival and again after your departure. All linen and towels supplied and changed after first week. You only need to supply beach towels.

 

Notes on accommodation
Child safety gate and travel cot included. There is a padded base, but you will need to provide child sheets.
For Winter rentals there are mobile radiators.

Outside
The communal pool serves just the 44 properties and has ample space for sun bathing on the grass.

Coast/Beach
The sandy beach is only a five minute walk form the house and is nearly 4 miles long. In the Summer months there are life guards in attendance. For more privacy there are small coves up and down the nearby coastline.

Golf
The local golf course within easy access is Valle Del Este is one of the best courses in Spain. Down the road Desert Springs is a superb course offering an unique experience. Marina Golf at Mojacar Playa has spectacular mountain and superb sea views is just minutes away. El Cortijo Grande is flanked by mountains that rise to almost 1,000m above sea.It is just a short drive inland and the smallest of the local courses.

Travel
There are 3 main airports to choose from. The local one at Almeria is only 50 mins away by car whereas Alicante takes 2 hours. Murcia by using the new toll road is around 1 hour 20 mins. All of them have the benefit of low cost airlines flying in/out, so it is worth comparing prices via the Internet. Also to obtain decent flight times sometimes it pays to fly into one airport and come back via another.

Distances
Nearby Garrucha is just 5 mins by car whereas Mojacar, Turre and Vera are all within 15 mins. The nearest large towns are Almeria and Lorca and both are just 45 mins away by car.

Further details
Pueblo Laguna has three small supermarkets within walking distance and for a fuller shop you have the choice of 3 larger ones, no more than a 5 min drive away. Locally there is a good choice of restaurants and many more in nearby towns and in the countryside. In the lounge area is a welcome pamphlet containing loads of local information.

Booking notes
To confirm an initial booking a 15% deposit will be required with the remainder due 8 weeks before departure.
The keys along with directions and plan will be sent by registered post 10 days before your departure.

About the owner
I came from a banking background and was made redundant back in 2001. Since then I have done a load of different jobs with no connection to Financial Services. We have tried to get down to the house as often as possible ever since.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had spent loads of years on holidays in the area and always enjoyed the very relaxed atmosphere. So when the house came on the market we could not resist the purchase. Luckily around Pueblo Laguna and Garrucha the area is well supported by the Spanish and this creates its own unique feeling. Have to say it always seems very relaxed and safe at all times. The shops and restaurants are close by as is the vast beach. On the other hand it is easy to drive along the coast and find a nice secluded cove.

Unique benefits of the property
Having rented other properties, often we gained the impression that the owners did not want you to stay much in their property and offered very basic furniture and kitchen wise you only had the bare minimum. So, we decided to put in ample cooking utensils so if you want to cook in, then you have all the tools to do the job. Also the tables inside and on the patio will take 6 guests easily. We decided that year by year the house would be improved and for instance, over the last 12 months we had fitted a very modern oven and unique hob, plus having mosquito netting devices in all rooms. The house is on three levels so everyone can find their space easily.
