This villa will offer you peace and quiet for a relaxing holiday yet is only a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to a lively village with shops, bar, restaurants. The area is superb for walking, birdspotting and makes a great base for seeing the surrounding areas such as the Subettica, Granada City and the Alhambra, Cordoba and the Mesquita or the magnificent city of Seville. Granada can be reached in just over an hour, Cordoba in one and a half hours and Seville in around 2 hours. You can also reach the sea in an hour and you can choose to go down to the coastline at Malaga or the less populated coastline of the Costa Tropical. There are also lots of interesting towns reachable in about half an hour such as Priego de Cordoba, Rute and a little further to Lucena. These towns are really worth a visit to see the real Spain and how their residents live. One of Algarinejo's best secrets is Bar Piolas, recently voted one of the best 2 restaurants in Western Granada, the food is excellent.

Notes on prices
We appreciate that clients have worked hard all year and look forward to their annual break so with the present economic climate being as it is we have decided again this year to hold the price of 2 weeks at the peak period time.
The cost for 2 weeks is £900 so thats a saving of £200 on the normal rate. Peak periods are very popular so you will need to book early.
Changeover day
Friday or Saturday are preferred changeover days but we will try to be flexible wherever possible.
Arrival 4pm and please vacate villa by 10am.

Towels are provided for use in the Villa. However we ask that you supply your own towels for use on the beach or by the pool. Bedlinen is provided and is changed on a weekly basis. |

Notes on accommodation
Ideal and secure environment for children and families. This Villa has been inspected and approved by the Junta de Andalucia, department of Tourism as an official Vivienda Rural registration number VTAR/GR/00576.
Accessibility
Unfortunately the Villa is not really suitable for wheelchair users due to the steps leading to the terrace and the pool.
Outside
The pool area has a 10m x 5m pool which is great for relaxing by, large terrace with sun loungers, chairs and tables. There is also additional shade a large umbrella to provide extra shade. The pool is private and for the sole use of the occupants of the villa and is not overlooked. The surrounding views are that of Olive groves and the villa is very private.
Coast/Beach
One hour drive to the coast however there is a small beach with a beach bar, canoes 20 minutes away at Lake Iznajar.
Golf
The nearest golf club at present is in Anteqeura about 1 hour away and we have arranged with them a special deal for anyone who fancies a round of golf. One nights stay at the Antequera Golf hotel,18 holes of golf(buggy extra at 15 euros), a spa session for your partner and breakfast in the morning. This costs from 50 euros per person, for around 5 euros per person extra you can stay at the 5 star Hotel Magdalena, a restored convent, which is attached to the 15th hole and is an outstanding hotel and one you will remember for a long time. Please contact us for more details of this offer. Antequera golf is a superb 18 hole course that will challenge the best yet give newcomers a fantastic round of golf that they will talk about for many a day. Antequera dates back to Roman times and the old town still has many ancient features, in the evening the town comes alive and is well worth a visit. There are also 3 courses to play in Granada.
Skiing
The Ski area of Sierra Nevada is about one and a half hours drive away.
Special interest holidays
We have a good friend who takes people on guided walks of the area and has a great deal of knowledge on the local wildlife. There are 2 mountain bikes at the villa, a mans and a ladies, and these can be hired for 5 euros a day each for those of you who are energetic.
We also now offer a day out riding Vespa scooters via our friend Christian in the next village of Iznajar. This is a great way to see the area and enjoy the freedom of riding a scooter. The scooters are all new and fully insured, helmets etc are provided along with local maps. The cost is 70 euros for a single person and 95 euros for rider and pillion. Travel
Granada airport is one hour and Malaga is one hour 15 minutes. We feel car hire is essential. However if you do not want to drive then a taxi service is available directly outside the airports. There is also a taxi from the village most days to Granada at about 10 euros each. Please note this sets off at about 6-30 in the morning. There is also a bus that comes back to the village from Granada that leaves Granada bus station at 5-00 pm and arrives back about 7-00pm.
Distances
2 Kms to the village of Algarinejo. 20kms to the Lake side village of Iznajar.
Further details
The local village of Algarinejo offers 2 banks, 24 hour medical facilities, numerous shops/supermarkets and many bars/restaurants. Market day is Saturday where you can buy local produce, fruit, vegetables and clothes and shoes etc. Please be sure to carry your health card as the health centre is free but will ask for your health card(the old E111).

We lived in this Villa for 7 years before returning to the UK to be nearer our children and grandchildren. On returning Chris became ill and is now having ongoing treatment for her illness and we do intend to return one day to spend time at this beautiful place with fantastic friendly Spanish people who have always been helpful.

The area is beautiful, the Villa stunning and the peace and tranquilitty unbeatable yet only minutes from the main village. The people are truly Granadinos and you will always receive warmth, advice free tapas and even an invite into their home. They just love people.
