Notes on accommodation
The villa has air-conditioniong throughout. With two ground floor bedrooms and large bathroom, it is suitable for young children and those who find stairs difficult. The large open plan lounge & dining area with open aspect to kitchen makes it a very sociable space and comfortable for groups of 6.
Please note the villa is non-smoking.
Accessibility
The layout is suitable for wheelchair users as there is only one small step to negotiate from the hall down to the lounge area which is open plan. With two downstairs bedrooms and large downstairs bathroom, there are not access restrictions.
Outside
Outside area offers a large landscaped garden which surrounds the villa with colourful bedding plants, trees, shrubs and shingle. Extended tiled terrace area with unrestricted views, includes dining table and chairs for 6, comfortable seating area, sunbeds, brick built BBQ. From terrace, steps lead down to 5m x 10m private swimming pool with shallow and deep ends accessed by steps, not heated. Pool is surrounded by soft green astro turf and outside shower. Two upstairs terraces offer unrestricted views of the resort and surrounding countryside.

Coast/Beach
Hacienda Del Alamo is situated 25-30 mins drive from the Mar Menor and La Manga beaches. The beaches of Mar Menor are usually warm, shallow and safe for children. The beaches of Mazzaron and Bol Neuvo are 20-25 mins drive and easily accessible by the a new motorway towards Almeria. Both offer bars, restaurants and shopping.
Golf
Villa is situated on an exclusive golf resort, offering a challenging 18 hole course designed by Dave Thomas, a 6 hole academy course, putting and practice greens and large driving range and stunning new golf club with large terrace offering fantastic views. There are many golf courses in the region with some of the best such as La Manga Club only 30 mins away, Roda, Polaris World, Villa Martin to name a few.
Skiing
Good skiing in the Sierra Navada mountain region is available, drive is approximately 2.5-3 hours.
Travel
The main budget airlines, Easyjet & Ryanair service Murcia Airport (San Javier) from both Stansted and Gatwick and Monarch now offer a new route this year from Gatwick to Murcia. Murcia airport is 30 mins by car, again a very easy journey on the new AP7 motorway and Alicante is just over an hour by car. A hire car is recommended during your stay.
Distances
The local town of Fuente Alamo is 5 mins away by car, it offers a large supermarket, bars, restaurants, shops and banks with ATMs. The region is steeped in history with the cities of Murcia and Cartagena 20 mins by car. They offer great shopping, places of interest and lots of bars and restaurants. The Mountains of Alamha are a 30 min drive and offer stunning views and interesting walks.
Further details
The resort itself offers a fine dining experience with La Hacienda and a more casual menu in the IT bar close by(seasonal opening). There is also a Spanish bar which offers pool, darts, outside terrace and is open every evening until midnight. The new stunning club house offers a daily menu and restaurant/bar area where you can relax or take a table on the terrace with panoramic views of the course. It also offers comfortable lounge areas where you can relax after a tough 18 holes and enjoy the panoramic views. The Club House is family friendly. There is also a sports complex offering tennis courts, bowls green & football pitches available on the resort.
The Spanish Village and Hotel is due for completion by 2009 and this will extend the facilities to offer shopping, dining and spa. Please note that although the resort is still under some development, there is no building work taking place on or near phase 1 so you will not be disturbed during your holiday.

To book, contact the owner Janice Reynolds by email or phone. £100 deposit is required at time of booking with balance due 8 weeks before departure. If travelling within 8 weeks of departure, full payment is required. Preferred method of payment is Sterling Cheque.
A fully refundable breakages cheque of £150 is also required with the balance payment which we will hold until your return. It will only be cashed should serious damage occur or keys not returned.
