Ca' dels Pins is a luxury modern private villa, overlooking mountains, orange groves and the Mediterranean coastline. Within a tranquil and exclusive hillside development in pine forests but within a short drive to the splendid cosmopolitan facilities of historic Gandia and it's impressive blue flag beach. The purpose built apartment is tastefully decorated and includes everything to make your holiday experience perfect. Convenient for Valencia and Alicante airports, Gandia has traditionally been the favourite holiday destination of Madrid. The area is rich in culture and history and is blessed by a near perfect climate. The town has two large commercial centres and most form of sport can be found from riding to tenpin bowling, from fishing to golf. Within easy distance are theme and water parks, zoos and safari centres. There are an abundance of restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets. Within the beautiful semi-tropical gardens are paella and barbecue terraces.

Changeover day
To help our guests take maximum advantage of cheap flight deals and maximize their holiday entitlement, we try to be as flexible as possible.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Bedroom one with double bed and full-size folding bed.
Bedroom two with twin beds.
Garden annexe with bunk beds (n.a. October to March).
Bathrooms: Full bathroom with bath, washbasin, bidet and toilet.
Second bathroom with hydro-shower, washbasin and toilet.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge-freezer, washing machine, tumble-dryer, kettle, toaster, coffee-maker,
microwave etc.
Living Rooms: Good quality furnishings throughout including television with satellite, video, DVD (with selection of discs in Spanish and English), CD etc.
Other: Spacious covered terrrace with tables, chairs, exercise bike etc. There are plenty of sun loungers on the pool terrace.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All linen is provided including pool towels. The apartment is clean on arrival and fresh linen is available on request.

Notes on accommodation
In winter the apartment benefits from full radiator central heating whist, in summer, without air-conditioning, the open, hillside location usually offers a pleasant breeze and the fans are more than adequate. The private urbanisation is unique to the owners so there are no problems with traffic or security. Being fully enclosed the apartment, parking, pool and gardens are suitable for adults and children alike.

Accessibility
Being built upon a hillside has many advantages but naturally there are steps. While this is not a problem, we feel it only fair to point out that this would be a problem for people with mobility problems i.e. wheelchairs.

Outside
The main house and apartment are set in beautiful gardens with a good range of terraces and seating areas, including paella and barbecue patio. There is a good size (8 x 4 metre) fully filtered, fresh water pool with ample terrracing, sun-loungers etc. The pool is shared only with the resident owners and their daughters. There is also a tennis court on the urbanisation for use of residents but the state of the net is not always as we would wish.

Coast/Beach
Gandia beach is probably one of the best in the Mediterranean and this is why Gandia has traditionally been the favourite resort for the Spanish. Gandia town is about 5/10 minutes by car from the apartment and the beach and port about another 5 minutes. The blue flag beach is extremely well maintained with lifeguards etc. The promenade streches for several kilometres and offers a huge range of restaurants, bars, discoteques, shops etc.

Golf
The nearest (about 7 miles away) full size quality golf club is the very attractive Oliva Golf. Towards Valencia capital is the famous El Saler (about 30 minutes by car).

Travel
From the UK, the longest route is through France. With the current availability of cheap flights and car hire, it is also (together with the UK-Bilbao/Santander ferries) the most expensive. Valencia and Alicante airports are easily reached by motorway, being about one hour and one and a half hours away respectively. Use of a car is highly recommended as the cost of taxis, while cheap by UK standards, can be be prohibitive.

Distances
By car, Real and Palma villages are minutes away. Gandia town is 5/10 minutes and the beach and port 5 minutes more. There are a great range of places of interest in the area as one would imagine in an area as rich in history and culture as Valencia.

Further details
As the regional centre, Gandia offers everything one would imagine of a large town including hypermarkets, shopping centres etc. Valencia capital is well worth exploring and it easily offers as much of interest as Madrid or Barcelona.

Booking notes
With the current availability of cheap flights, we try not to restrict our guests to fixed seven day periods (i.e. Saturday to Saturday) and to offer a degree of flexibility. Our nightly tariff for the apartment is fully inclusive and includes a free welcome pack. Minimum stay is one week and discounts are available for long stays. 50% deposit (non-returnable) on confirmation, paid by bank transfer, the balance being due four weeks before occupation. Oct/March the annexe bedroom is out of use.

Guest comments
We do not keep a guest book but can confidently state that all our guests have been more than delighted with their choice and some have returned three times.
