Casa La Celada is a luxurious Micro Hotel, Guest House, B&B or Self Catering villa furnished to the highest standard. Set over 3 floors, our ground floor comprises 3 stunning bedrooms with 2 bathrooms (one en-suite to our luxurious Honeymoon Room complete with four poster wrought iron bed). The first floor offers a luxurious sitting room complete with wood burning stove and terrace overlooking the village Plaza. We have our children's play room, wc and enormous kitchen with locally crafted marble table that comfortably seats at least 10. Our kitchen also has a snug area with double sofabed. On our third floor we have a further two bedrooms and luxurious roof terrace complete with 6 seater hot tub, barbecue, fridge, shaded and sunny seating areas. The 360 degree views from the roof terrace are breathtaking and stretch for miles over the Sierra Subbética mountains and the rolling carpeted hills of olive groves. Next to the sleepy bar and shop. The house also offers WiFi.

Notes on prices
Prices are in euros per room per night. Extra bed + linens 5€ per bed per night. Optional daily servicing of the property when fully rented 15 euros per day. Bed changes/ironing services 10 euros per hour.
Changeover day
For full rental, our changeover day is flexible but must obviously work around other bookings. For our Guest House, arrival after 4pm please and departure by 11am.

Three double bedrooms are on offer, one comprising a luxury four poster suite with double bathroom, jacuzzi bath and large walk in Grecian style shower. The second bathroom is decorated to an equally high standard with separate bath and walk-in grecian style shower. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, all linens and towels (except beach towels) are provided. Breakfast is served in our beautiful family kitchen around our ten seater wrought iron and marble table from 9am where we have a toaster, kettle, microwave and offer a continental style breakfast with choice of juices, teas and coffees. We are also able to offer, strictly by prior arrangement, the invitation to dine with the family, catered for by our wonderful ex Edinburgh gourmet chef who is happy to cater for all dietary requirements. Please ask for details. We offer the use of our sitting room and roof terrace with hot tub, barbeque, sun and shaded seating and fridge during your stay. |

Notes on accommodation
The house is fully centrally heated together with having a beautiful wood burning stove in the sitting room which we offer, in combination with the roof terrace, for our B&B guests use. All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans and the top floor rooms also have air conditioning. The house is entirely suitable for children although they are strictly under the care of their parents at all times. Use of the toys/games/books/films belonging to our family is encouraged with the obvious understanding that all breakages or losses are replaced. With this policy, we can always offer the same quality to all our guests each time they come. We have a washing machine and tumble dryer in our garage which may be used by prior agreement. All linens are provided however beach towels must be brought by our guests. We are a strictly NO SMOKING INSIDE THE PROPERTY home.
Accessibility
We do not feel that this house would be an easy property for a wheelchair user as the living area is on the upper floors. While the granite spiral staircase is wide, access is not easy.
Outside
We offer three separate terraces - one small, looking west over the olive groves, one north immediately overlooking the village's beautiful Plaza de San José and village shop, and one large roof terrace. Our roof terrace is a substantial social area suitable for large numbers of people complete with barbeque, seating, and a six seater whirlpool hot tub which uses chlorine. From our roof terrace the mantle of olive groves spread out in every direction, under a pure blue sky. Our sunrises, sunsets, starscapes and cloudscapes are breathtaking from this wonderfully private vantage point. We do not provide beach towels and ask that our bathroom towels are not taken up to the roof terrace area.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful lake of Iznájar, renowned to be the largest lake in Andalucía, is a 5 minute drive away or a 20 minute walk with her own sandy beach, watersports and beach bar. The seaside of Málaga and surrounding beaches can be reached in less than an hour.
Golf
Golf is available in either Antequera (45 mins) or for the keen and competitive player we are less than an hour from coastal Málaga where there are literally hundreds of courses to choose from.
Skiing
We offer guided snow boarding or skiing days collected direct from Casa La Celada.
We can also arrange weekday skiing in the Sierra Nevada using a self catering two double bed apartment in Pinos Genil (30 mins drive from the lifts) with Bed and Breakfast at Casa La Celada by prior arrangement - arrivals from Sunday night or Monday morning, returning to Casa La Celada on Friday afternoon. Please speak to us about this exciting new option.

We are 1 hour from either Granada, Málaga or Córdoba airports or train stations. We are 45 mins from Antequera train station. As we are in the heart of Andalucia, surrounded by so many rural activities in all directions, we would consider a car to be essential in order to make the most of a countryside holiday.

Further details
Our village offers an 'Olde Worlde' bar, village shop that sells everything you could think of, and we have daily deliveries of all essentials including freshly baked local bread, fish, fruit and vegetables. A 20 minute walk brings you not only to the breathtaking views of the lake but also one of the most delicious restaurants around. Banks and supermarkets are available in both Iznájar and the larger town of Rute, famous for the production of Anis, it's ham factory and the Belén - a chocolate Nativity scene created each year. Close by we can offer donkey sanctuaries, wolf parks, BHS equestrian centres, quad biking and hot air ballooning. For the more active holidaymaker we can arrange organised walks, bike rides, abseiling, canyoning, rafting, rock climbing, paintballing, zip wires, caving and more all within striking distance (bookable in advance which we will happily arrange for the non-Spanish speakers). Further into the Sierra you will find many charming and unspoilt 'white' villages including Priego de Córdoba, Cabra and Zuheros (famed for the 'bat cave') where you can happily while away a day or so, before heading perhaps to Benalúa for a day and Guadíx where the cave dwellings can be seen. The Alhambra and the Mezquita are both easy day trips (the Alhambra must be booked in advance over the internet), as is a trip into Sevilla.
Flamenco evenings and shows are frequently on offer as is bull fighting for those who wish to experience it. There are frequently fiestas surrounding our area and we do aim to keep a significant amount of information available here for our clients.
And if all of that is not enough for you ... we offer our 'Healthy Option' package where, booked in advance, we can arrange for a local masseuse/beauty practitioner to come and give our clients a 'Pamper Day'. Please ask for details.
Booking notes
For enquiries/reservations please either telephone us or send us an email. For rental self catering we require a 750 euros deposit against any damage, loss or breakage payable in advance and returnable on inspection of the property prior to your departure. We request a 50% payment in advance to secure your booking which is refundable up to four weeks in advance. A cancellation made with less than one month but more than 2 weeks notice will receive a 25% refund. Thereafter no refund can be given.
