A spacious detached three bedroom house in a quiet area of L'Escala with a south facing garden and pool for full sun all year round. Orquidia is a traditional 2 storey villa with its own pool set in a private walled garden with secure off road parking for 2 cars It is near to open countryside and an easy 20 minute stroll to a sandy beach, restaurants, bars and shops - with local restaurants only a few minutes walk away.

Prices are for the Villa per week in Euros.
Prices are based on 6 people. For 8 occupants please add 20%. Prices are fully inclusive with no hidden charges.

Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Wednesday, but we are flexible wherever possible. We change on a Wednesday to take advantage of cheaper midweek flights with the low-cost airlines and make big savings. Guests are asked to arrive after 3pm and leave by 10am.

Bedroom 2 with twin beds, bedside cabinets, fitted wardrobe & ceiling fan.
Bedroom 3 with full length bunk beds, bedside table and fitted wardrobe, fan & balcony.
Bathrooms: Large upstairs bathroom with bath/shower, wash basin, WC and hairdryer.
Downstairs shower room with power shower, vanity wash basin unit, WC and hairdryer.
Kitchen: Modern fully fitted kitchen off lounge/dining room with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Plenty of pots and pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses.
Utility Room: The utility area has a washing machine and clothes airer.
Living Rooms: A spacious lounge/dining room (6.15m x 3.85m) with a beamed ceiling. Includes dining table and chairs, armchairs, large sofa (easily turns into a kingsize bed), coffee table, TV unit, wall units, satellite TV, video and DVD players (and films) to garden.
Other: Two of the upstairs bedrooms open onto a balcony with views over woodland.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The house is cleaned prior to your arrival. Freshly laundered bed linen and bathroom towels are included in the price and changed weekly. The pool is maintained during your stay up to three times a week in high season.

 

Notes on accommodation
We have helpful English speaking people who live nearby to deal with all of the housekeeping, pool and maintenance requirements. There is a portable stair gate in the villa. A travel cot and high chair are available free of charge on request. We can also supply a small paddling pool for toddlers. A welcome pack is provided for your arrival consisting of some tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bottled water, bread, butter and jam.

Accessibility
From the front door there are 6 steps going up to the living area. Not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Outside
The garden is fully equipped with tables, chairs, sun-shade, loungers and a built-in BBQ. There is a large private pool (8x4m) which has a depth of 0.85m to 1.8m with adjacent sunbathing areas of lawn, patio and pebbles on different sides. The two main surrounding walls are lined with mature Oleander bushes which flower throughout the summer. There is outside lighting enabling the patio and pool to be used at night.

Coast/Beach
The local sandy beach at Reills is just over 1km away. L'Escala hs 6 clean safe beaches, all with soft sand with clear water excellent for swimming and snorkelling. Being gently sloping they are ideal for young children. The three main beaches are all blue flag beaches which during the summer have lifeguards, first aid posts and beach bar/cafes.

Golf
There are 7 major golf courses within 45 mins drive with the highly recommended 36 hole Emporda course being about 15 mins drive away.

Skiing
The ski resorts of the Pyrenees are about 1.5 hour's drive away.

Travel
The nearest airports are Girona 40 mins serviced by Ryanair. Perpignan in France 80 mins serviced by Ryanair. Barcelona 90 mins serviced by Easyjet (and other scheduled airlines). All are a very easy drive up or down the AP7 motorway. Car hire is recommended to visit the many places of interest and beauty on the Costa Brava. Alternatively, airport transfers can be arranged.

Booking notes
A 20% deposit is required within 7 days of booking. Balance payable 8 weeks before departure. A refundable £200 damages deposit is required.
