Notes on prices
Price includes one delivery of logs for fire in colder months. Electric heaters available free of charge. If you require central heating there is an additional charge of £50 to cover diesel costs. 15% discount on second (and subsequent weeks) when a stay of 2 weeks or more is booked. £150 damage deposit cheque required. There is a fee payable direct to the agent for key pick-up outside of office hours.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning is not available. However, the tiled floors and traditional Andalucian design of the house makes it easy to keep cool. The location of the Lecrin Valley also provides respite from the stifling summer heat of Granada and the coast. Fans available in rooms. The house has central heating, a wood burning stove, portable heaters and duvets which means it stays warm and cosy during colder Spanish winter months. The courtyard is a very safe place for even very young children to play freely. The house is large enough that big groups of people can holiday together but have plenty of privacy and space to sunbathe or just relax. We are legally registered with the Spanish authorities and fully insured. We have fire extinguishers and a first aid box. We also have local managing agents to provide assistance if needed.
Accessibility
The ground floor bedroom is ideal for those with mobility problems (the shower also has a handrail which was installed at the request of a previous guest) and there is access to the courtyard, kitchen and pool terrace on the same floor (although there are small steps to negotiate). Unfortunately, the house is unsuitable for wheelchair users
Outside
Private swimming pool (approx 5x3m) available from mid April to end of September (dependent on weather). Brick built BBQ on roof terrace Table and chairs on swimming pool terrace. Table and chairs for 4 people on living room balcony. Table and chairs in covered mirador of roof terrace, as well as additional chairs, tables and sunloungers on main roof terrace - the perfect spot to relax all day.
Coast/Beach
The traditional Spanish coastal resorts of Motril and Salobrena are a 25-30 min drive away. The larger resorts of Almunecar and Nerja are a little further down the coast.
Skiing
The nearest ski resort is in the Sierra Nevada (approx 35-40 min drive from Pinos del Valle).
Travel
Car hire is essential. Granada airport (Ryanair from Stansted, East Midlands and Liverpool) is 35 mins from the house and is an easy drive. Malaga airport is approx 1½ hour drive and Almeria airport about a 2 hour drive from the house.
Distances
The house is well located for easy access to the Motril/Granada motorway, and to be able gets easy access to the motorways heading in the direction of Madrid, and Murcia/Costa Blanca. The wonderful city of Granada is a 20-25 min drive. The beautiful Alpujarras and the traditional spa town of Lanjaron can be reached in 20 minutes, with Orgiva a further 10 mins away.
Further details
The village of Pinos del Valle has 2 supermarkets (Carrefour can be found in Granada city) which will supply your basic needs (including meat and fresh veg). The village also has a wonderful traditional bar with large terrace with mountain views where you will experience the Granada tradition of a tapa free with every drink (it is very easy do away with the need for a meal by simply enjoying a few glasses of wine and tapa).
The local baker is 2 mins walk from the house and provides a wonderful array of fresh bread and croissants. There are also two pharmacies and a bank with cashpoint in the village.
A wider range of amenities including larger supermarkets, banks, clothes shops, butchers, and bars can be found in the town of Durcal (10 min drive).
There are a range of restaurants in the Lecrin Valley/Alpujarras within a 15-20 min drive from the house. However, with the stunning views from the roof terrace and the large country kitchen, eating at home is a pleasure. There is plenty to do in the local area with walking on the doorstep.
Other activities include: cycling, bird watching, sightseeing (particularly in Granada), skiing, swimming, the beach and horse riding. Our agents can help you with booking activities during your stay.
We are perfectly located for you to enjoy a mountain, beach, city break all in one holiday. Alternatively, if you are simply looking for somewhere to get away from it all then this is the perfect location.

20% deposit is payable on booking, with the remainder payable 8 weeks before departure. Welcome pack is included in the price. Please note that there may be a small additional charge for picking up keys from the agent outside office hours. Pool available mid April to end of September (dependent on weather). Please note that this house is fully registered with the Spanish authorities as a rental property and that we are fully insured. The house also has a first aid box and fire extinguisher.
