Situated in a small and peaceful location overlooking olive groves and the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The village of Palau Saverdera (1km) provides a supermarket, butchers, bakers, pharmacy and excellent restaurants. The restaurant next door to the apartment is a must! Try the farmers co-operative for locally produced wines and olive oils. The Bay of Roses with its outstanding beaches is only 5 mins away offering a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. The area offers something for everyone including the Aqua Brava waterpark, go-karting, fishing, boat trips, butterfly park, horse riding, windsurfing, parachuting and minigolf. Places to explore include the Dali museum in Figueres and the idylic Cadeques.

Notes on accommodation
Whilst the apartment overlooks the pool situated about 10m away the garden is enclosed by a large fence to 2 sides and hedge to the final side. The gate giving access to the pool area is lockable giving parents the option to exclude young children from this area if desired.
Outside
The apartment looks out over olive groves, vineyards. The Aiguamols National Park and the Bay of Roses. It has a lovely small garden with table and chairs for long evenings of "al fresco" eating and drinking. Ample space for the sun loungers which are provided and a portable BBQ.
Coast/Beach
There are many sandy beaches bordering the Bay of Roses which are only a short distance away. They range from the traditional large beaches located at the resorts of Empuriabrava and Santa Margharita with all the usual activities of boat hire, jetski hire and windsurfing etc. to the more low key beach which fronts the old town of Roses. Also located nearby is the idylic crescent beach of Canyelles de Petites which is surrounded by steep hills and is ideal for snorkelling.
Golf
There are 3 golf courses within 1 hours drive (Perelada, Torremirrona and Pals.
Skiing
There are several ski resorts within a 2 hour drive. Vallter 2000 and Val de Nuria ski areas take approx 1 hour and 15 minutes and are suitable for 1/2 days skiing. The vast ski area of La Molina and Masella is approx 2 hours but boasts 110km of piste. Skiing in the Spanish Pyrenees is comparitively unknown to British skiers but the outstanding scenery and lack of lift queues will impress skiers of all abilities. Travel
Barcelona Girona airport (Ryanair) is 40 minutes away by car. Perpignan airport (Ryanair) is 50 minutes away by car. Barcelona city airport (Easyjet) is 90 minutes away by car or train (Figueres). Drive time from channel ports is approx. 12 hours. A car is essential.
Distances
Palau Savedera village (1km) local supermarket, bakery, butchers, pharmacy and restaurants. Roses (5km) beach, shops, market, fish market and many restaurants. Aqua Brava water park (3km).
Further details
The apartment is situated within easy reach of many activities including walking, cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, sailing, surfing, swimming, 10 pin bowling, mini golf, tennis, water skiing, wind surfing and site seeing. Also the magnificent city of Barcelona is easily reachable by rail into the heart of the city from the nearby town of Figueres and is definitely worth a visit. Also located in Barcelona is the Circuit de Catalunya which hosts the FIA Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix.
